    So I bought a small used fog machine at a yard sale last year. It was an impulse buy (why my wife kept asking) and it came with a small amount of the original fogging fluid. I used most of that up playing around with the machine out back. The original fog seemed to easily blow away with even the faintest of a breeze and had a distinct odor to the fog. Only cost me $7 so okay. Decided to get another brand of fogging fluid and see if it might work better. This seemed a bit pricey but hey, you get what you pay for. Right? After testing this out I noticed several things. There was almost no smell produced when using the newer fluid. And it seemed to produce a thicker fog, perhaps a little more resistant to blowing away by light wind. Overall it’s a slight improvement over the original fogging fluid. Maybe I’d get better results using it indoors. Would I buy it again? Maybe, but given that I’ll only use the machine once a year for a limited time I may end of getting rid of it before I use all this fluid up. We’ll see…

    I use this in both my vertical and ground fogger It had great hang time about 45 min to an hour on a 15 second burst. I use this set up to illuminate laser beams from a multi color laser unit and get lots of pictures from many angles and distances from laser source with just the 1 fog shot with this juice. Very faint smell nothing to get offended by. Price is a bit high you can find a better quantity for the price else where, I also found the same size for slightly cheaper else where as well but I do admit this juice has great lasting power so it might be a matter of getting what you pay for.

    After losing a few of my fog machines due to malfunction through the years, I thought maybe it could be the cheap fog juice I was using. I’ve been using this in my 600W water based fog machine and it seems to produce quite a bit of fog. Thicker than my other machines produced so maybe there are different levels of quality. I know that my fog machine just sips this juice, so while the bottle may be small, it seems quite long lasting. One bone I have to pick is that the seller is using the terms haze, and low lying, by which none of those things apply to this juice when used in a regular fog machine for which I believe it is intended.

    It’s a liquid based fog solution, which requires a fogger to create the fog. It works, is it better than other similar products? Maybe, I’m no chemist. It made fog. The price seems to be on the higher side for the amount of liquid you receive.

    they are small and as a first time fog machine user I thought I’d run out quickly. This stuff packs a punch and I didn’t even finish the first bottle! Great coverage. Used it on our front porch for trick or treaters. Did not leave on continuously, just pushed the button every 5 minutes or so for some spooky ambiance. Also used it for some fun karaoke antics and everyone was impressed.

    As with most low-laying fog, it still needs to be chilled, so the cold fog stays low to the ground. This does give a nice thick fog, but it dissipated as any other fog I’ve put into the “Mister Kool II” does.With a bit of dry ice (or even regular ice), the fog had quite a nice effect.

    This Maplefield High Density Fog Machine Fluid is gor use in the Smoke Machine Fog Fluid, 32oz, a bit pricey at $17. It’s to be used as is, without being diluted in water or anything. Although this says compatible with 700W+ fog machined, this one works so far with my 500W fog machine.

    The container is pretty small but promising. My fog machine used almost the whole thing. The consistency is liquid, i though it was going to be more of a gel type. This is for water-based fog machines. The price is in the higher end.

    I’ve used other fog solutions and compared to this one it produces a strange chemical smell. Some are a sweeter smell but not this one. Also this particular solution will set off fire alarms so be careful on indoor use.

    Okay, so it’s true confession time: I haven’t dragged out my good ol’ fog machine for more than a decade, ever since I got my hazer. The problem with fog machines is that they set off smoke alarms and, if you’re working in a venue and that happens, you’ll be presented with a bill for having the fire department come a-callin’. So my fogger was relegated to Halloween shows for a very long time, and when I got the sample of this fluid, I dragged it out of storage for the first time in about a dozen years. Now, I’m very proud to say that, when I put it away it hadn’t been prepped in any way! I thought I’d be using it again soon, so it wasn’t emptied, wasn’t cleaned, nor did I do the white vinegar purge that is recommended. It just got shoved in its case and put into storage…until today.I’m very proud to say that the very first picture here, showing the massivly thick cloud in the hallway of my apartment, is the very first time I fired it up! The Mighty [rhymes with “Le Waiter”] fogger worked as if absolutely no time had passed! Unfortunately, the smoke was SO think, I had to scramble to open the doors and pull batteries out of the smoke alarms so my neighbors didn’t think the worst. I also decided to move the fogger to the door, in order to direct most of the fog outside.In order for this to be a fair test, I decided to do the distilled water/white vinegar deep clean in-between the use of the different fluids, so for about 30 minutes, I let the old fluid vent, ran about a half-cup of the vinegar/water mixture through the machine and then let it rest before putting the siphon hose into the Maplefield fog juice. Next, after allowing the fogger to again warm up, the first fog began to emerge. Right away, I noticed a difference. My old fluid has a very distinctive odor. It’s not a bad smell, but you can definitely smell an odor, a bit like laundry drying outdoors. This new fluid had absolutely NO odor that I could detect. None! At all.The next thing I noticed is that the fog has a decidedly bluish cast to it. The photos above were taken in natural light on a sunny day, right in front of a glass doorway. The color is not an artifact of the camera or lighting. During the test, the smoke/fog never did become as billowy or voluminous as the old [Le Waiter] stuff, but as time went on it became noticeably thicker, so I attribute the thinness to being run immediately after the machine’s cleaning cycle. Still, I waited a while and it never did seem to equal the old stuff…that had been stored since about 2011. Bottom line, then: the Maplefield fog juice is an extremely great value, being a LOT less expensive than my former brand, and if you’re using lasers or other lighting effects that need fog to look their best, this will definitely do the job! Just don’t go looking to generate a total “pea souper” with it.

    This smoke was very thick and had no odor! It did set off smoke detectors of course, but that’s just a credit to how dense a fog you get. Hangs around and lasts well too. Can’t beat it at this cost. I fogged a small cabin up to almost no visibility for a pretend house fire exercise and it was completely scentless and comfortable to breath even in very thick smoke.
