I tried it out for three weeks, first week I loved it! After that, headaches would come, wouldn’t be able to sleep and energy level would be lower then usual.While I first was on it, I felt great and well energized. Good sized pills, easy to swallow. I’ll keep this short and sweet. First of all, any time you see a product with tens of thousands of reviews you should run it through a review checker. You can find them on google. As for this product, I read through some of the negative reviews and judging by what I read you really should use caution if you think you want to try this product. As for myself, I gave it a shot and I am NOT in any way disappointed in it. It has become a part of my daily routine. I take two of these in the morning every morning and they really do sharpen me up for the entire day. I feel more energetic and focused. I definitely notice an increase in my cognitive abilities. I can process information quicker and have a much easier time articulating myself in verbal conversations. It has increased my productivity at work by a noticeable amount. It kind of has the same affect as caffeine but without the jittery wired feeling I get when I drink coffee or an energy drink. The reason I wanted to try this product so much is because I get pretty bad anxiety from caffeine and I am more than pleased with this stuff. As I said earlier though, be careful. I have read some pretty terrible reviews and I feel bad for the people that had these horrible experiences with it. Reading through the ingredients I can’t tell what could have caused them to reacted to badly to it, other than perhaps they are allergic to something in the product. As for me, I will continue to use the product for the foreseeable future. It is PRETTY damn expensive though, so I might look for a cheaper alternative.

I’m not usually one to write reviews.I take lions mane and ashwaganda extract every morning to help with my mental clarity, but needed something to help with my focus when it came to my studies. I used to bum adderall off of my adhd friends when I was much younger, but I didn’t want to go down that road again.I added alpha brain to my previous stack (LM and ashwaganda) and it works as described, I do feel very focused and driven. It gives me the adderall “in the zone” factor without the severe jaw clenching jitters.The downside: on the bottle, it says “take with light meal”. I’m 6’3 215lb’s, light meals don’t exist in my life unfortunately. Do not do what I did and not eat a light meal when taking it. I was toilet ridden for an hour with excessive diarrhea. I assume that’s the reasoning behind it, but who knows. I know that technically it is my fault, but it was a nightmare regardless.

I wanted to like this product and to some extent I do. I can tell I get some mental focus from this. It seems to enhance my overall mental process but it comes with some rather uncomfortable side effects.I did note that folks mentioned stomach problems after consuming. I took that into consideration before purchasing. I will say that was the exact problem that I faced also. I did not get any pain or cramping but I did have moments of liquid you know what’s. It did last a better part of the day that’s for sure. I figured like anything else your body would get use to it and it does. I took 2 capsels a day for 2 weeks. By the end of the 2nd week I could tell it wasn’t as bad as when I first started.This is why I say I’m drawn on it’s usefulness for myself. I don’t plan to take this consistently. Not every day by any means just as needed. So for me to take it sparingly and suffer the liquid side effects does not seem beneficial. Noted I did see some beneficial results but unfortunately for me they don’t quite outweigh the common side effect.I chose 3 stars as that’s roughly in the middle. It does work but for me I didn’t see a greater benefit. I recommend trying it out to see how your body reacts to it.

I had issues with the product the first day I tried it back in April, which is what had me reluctant to use it again. However, I kept it and continued to read reviews from time to time. So, based on mixed reviews, I decided to try it again and did a think-over on what could have been the reason behind it making me sick.The first dose in April was taken as two tablets on an empty stomach. I drank two alcoholic beverages later that day. **Both of these things could have caused a negative reaction.I decided to give it a chance again this month (September). The second time trying the product I ate a normal meal and took one capsule. I did not get sick and was able to stay up all day without a nap or getting distracted. This is important because I work from home.The third time (the second day taking the product back to back days) I took two tablets. I observed more alertness and did not get sick.I decided that taking two capsules was the ideal fit. I am taking one immediately before a meal. Wait about thirty minutes afterward and take the second capsule. That has produced the desired effect for me.I think that it is important to stress that this product works better with food on the stomach or close to consumption time.As for the alcohol being a contributing factor, I did not use alcohol during the second round of testing the product out. I would discourage anyone from trying it that way. It would be better to take a day off of the product if you plan to drink alcohol.I am a coffee drinker and have gone down to one mug a day during the second try. If anyone is wondering, this product did not cause any energy crashes, irritability, nor jitters. Outside of coffee, I have also had a soda with caffeine on some days. This supplement has unquantified unmeasured Maltodextrin. A complex carbohydrate that increases blood insulin so much faster than fructose and glucose. This chemical is very bad for diabetics, and very bad for anyone who are trying to lose weight or keep the weight down.The bottle did not show how much of this chemical is in one capsule, but by reading the reviews of other folks who have experienced headaches, nausea, and lethargy this is the reason why.With that said, let me tell you my experience.*** I only take 1 capsule instead of 2 as recommended in the bottle ***1. Day one = I took just one capsule in the morning with my coffee + 2% milk + MCT oil. Felt so good, so motivated, so brilliant. In addition, I felt the motivation to exercise.By evening of Day 1 – I am still going and bouncing off the wall, even at 4:44 AM in the morning. I probably dozed of by about 5 AM only be awaked automatically by my body at 7:00 AM. Showered and got ready for work.2. Day two = Showered and got ready for work, made coffee + 2% milk + MCT oil. Took another capsule of this Alpha Brain. 3 hours later, I measured my blood sugar. Usually 3 hours after coffee my blood sugar would be 75 mg/dl. But today it is reading 102 mg/dl. A large difference of my normal after coffee measurement.Feeling so alert despite getting a little over 2 hours of sleep the night before. My eyesight clear, my brain so clear, financial numbers are easy to understand, legal terminologies come in and get digested by my mind easier. This is only day 2.By Evening of Day 2 = I finally crashed at 9 PM. While I love that my body is forced to shut down and go to bed at this hour of the night, this is very unusual for me. I did welcome it though.3. Day three = Woke up at 7 AM. I had a total of 12 hours of sleep the night before (Day 2).At the time I was writing this review it is 12:43 PM. I took another capsule this morning.Blood sugar is >100 mg/dl again. after 3 hours of coffee.Feeling alert, no brain cloud. Vision is clear, words easy to read, numbers and formula easy to calculate.Blood sugar is high.*** I attribute the change in blood sugar to Maltodextrin. Going forward, I will search for other brain boosters, one that does not include this chemical.Alternatively – I implore Onnit (the maker of Alpha Brain) to remove Maltodextrin from the ingredients. You do not need this chemical. This is a very very harmful ingredient.

I was super excited to try this product, I work 12 hour shifts at work and wake up at 4 in the morning so I was looking for a supplement to help me have more energy throughout the day. The first day I took it was the morning before another 12 hr shift, it took about an hour or two for me to start feeling it and I did feel like I was a lot more focused and awake and I was very excited for that. Then later on in the day I started having very severe (but not painful) muscle spasms in my abdomen and my tongue would also go numb. I looked through the ingredient list and researched everything and its side effects, but did not find any that were relating to my experience, so I’m simply going to chalk it up as the supplement just didn’t sit right with my body. The quality of these are good, they are very effective in helping your energy levels stay high through the day, but even after a few days of taking them, I had all the same side effects within hours of taking it, and I was starting with only one pill a day. After I’ve stopped taking them, I haven’t had any muscle spasms or any numbness. I think it’s a good product, there’s just something in it that my body isn’t working with.

I’m usually not huge on supplements, but the amount of reviews on this made me give it a try. I’m very satisfied. It is kind of hard to explain and I think the results could be variable. My hugest issues is when I am doing tasks, I can often get momentarily distracted and have problems removing myself from the distraction, and then I end up being distracted from the distraction. I usually get back to my original task on my own eventually, but it takes a lot will and doing a bunch of things to block the distractions out.When I take the supplements, I don’t ‘feel’ different, which is good. What I do notice, even now as I type this message, is that I’m able to continue my thoughts without much desire to jump over to something else on my screen. When I do get distracted such as to look at IMs which I have to keep up for my work, I am able to recover much more quickly. I complete what I diverted for and then jump back to the original task without feeling lost about where I was. I did not take this yesteday, and maybe residual effect I still felt a bit more focused than a normal day, BUT several times in the day I felt momentarily overwhelmed bouncing between things. I stop short of giving any definitive recommendations, but I feel like its just worth a shot if you see nothing in the ingredients that turn you off specifically.

The main difference I’ve noticed is the disappearing brain fog. I have the worst memory: struggle retelling stories or previous events, lose train of thought when speaking with someone, and lose stuff all the time. I still lose stuff, but have been better at recalling events and am communicating more fluidly I feel. Easy enough to take, just put it with you multivitamin. Hasn’t had any adverse effects on my stomach, sleep, or mental state. But it also hasn’t given me a crazy “mental boost” either. Some nootropics I have taken, you can legit feel the calming effects within an hour, but those were specifically for stress. With AB it’s more like, after taking for a week, I realized I did not struggle with a lot of the same stuff I normally have issues with. Didn’t notice any changes within the day.I can say I feel generally better with the dampening of brain fog and increased memory recovery, however it isn’t an immediate solution and seems to be most effective after you take it for awhile, like with how vitamins work. This is unfortunate for me, since product is very pricey, so can’t really see myself purchasing at the current price point again. I’ve had other products, like peak, seem to be effective in other ways and are more immediate (and cheaper!).

This product needs be thrown in the boxing ring to get an ass whopping from all of Joe Rogan’s Onnit athletes. Or maybe it should be given to his fear factor contestants to see who can function longest through the side effects of extreme vomiting and the slow, taunting approach of near death.Needless to say, I deserve an award for surviving these capsules of evil. Though writing this is likely to send me into a dark, PTSD-induced coma, I will share regardless, with the hopes that it prevents one of you eager consumers from going through with a purchase.The first time I took the capsules, I had mild hot flashes and nausea but thought maybe it was my body adjusting to the ingredients. It was unpleasant but wouldnt describe it as debilitating. My husband also had a similar experience after taking two, and was lethargic and felt “just off.”We then each took two capsules the following day and felt completely fine.The third day taking the capsules was worse than that time I was stung by 72 murder hornets and had to cover my skin in the blood of baby raccoons to draw out the venom, but I digress.So, two hours after consumption the fun began. A rush of heat washed through my body as if the sun herself was melting into me. It was instant, intense, and I immediately knew I had made a big mistake taking the capsules that morning. As quick as the hot flashes hit me, so did the accompanying symptoms of nausea, dizziness, and blurred vision. I made my way to the bathroom just in time for the first wave of vomiting. Within an hour, my symptoms became so severe that I could barely talk, barely walk, move, hold my head up, or keep my eyes open. My heart was beating faster than the pace at which white women run towards Target on a black Friday. Think about it…thats dangerously fast.I actually thought I was dying and asked my husband to come home so that I wouldn’t be alone when it happened. He found me laying on the bathroom floor in a position I’m fairly sure I fainted into. I almost muttered for him to call an ambulance but frankly, didnt have the energy to even do that. I dealt with all of this for about six hours when the nausea finally subdued long enough that I could eat a few crackers and drink some water. Any attempt at eating or drinking prior had resulted in my body immediately rejecting it right back up.Its been 11 hours since I took the capsules and I still feel like a trash can. The most fun part is that my skin still feels both numb, and like its shedding on account of the all the sweat seeping from my pores.If you like living dangerously and decide to try this product out, do so strategically. By that, I mean make sure you have a will in place and have prepared goodbye letters for your loved ones.This product is crap and 10/10 would never recommend unless you enjoy the feeling of puke in your mouth. I said what I said.

I do love this product! I have been using it for years. It works well and I feel more productive. It does give me vivid dreams but I don’t mind. I contacted Onnit about Maltodextrin and here is what they said: That is a great question and I am happy to assist you in answering it. We use maltodextrin, that is mostly sourced from Tapioca Starch, in a few of our supplements because it helps to aid in the blend of ingredients so that they are able to be packed into the capsules. It is a very small, safe amount that passes through your body. But we understand that people are particular about what they choose to put in their body so we do our best to be as transparent as possible.

I am a rogan fan but still remained skeptical. Did a deep dive and thought hell, I have nothing to lose. I have been taking it for a couple weeks and I see a noticeable change. I was a skeptic but I note my vernacular and ability to pontificate on subjects clearly and stay on task has improved by a good 30% or more. I take at breakfast and it lasts until around 2pm. I have not added a second pill yet in the afternoon but I will now. My digging found not everyone got effects. I think around 73% did. I just know I am in that category and I will keep taking it. I am over 50 and it is giving me at times what I felt I was losing in clarity.

I use this because I’ve experienced a clarity of thought and purpose using it as opposed to not using it. I’m a male, aged 78 and reasonably healthy.Two a day generates too much brain activity…thinking about things constantly. So one per day is just right. Also helps with my “get up and go”.

I’m rating this as a 4 star, the mental focus definitely increased, head fog Gone! That’s great, does as it claims….. the downside!Absolutely destroys my gut! My stomach aches for hours after taking, I’ve done small and large meals, changed what I’ve ate with it, always the same outcome, so I will no longer be taking because it’s not worth the gain for the pain, my friends take it with no issues…. So I’m not knocking the product as it DOES WORK! I guess I’m weaked stomached

If you’re eating right, taking vitamins, making sure your electrolytes are good and you are hydrated, then I would try this. It does work to help keep me focused and helps me drive results, I feel. My only issue is the cost. Unless it’s on sale, it’s hard to justify with the other supplements I take.If you’re just starting your diet or you don’t fully understand how your body is reacting to what you are doing to it, I think that’s where people get negative reactions. But, all bodies are different.

After spending my twenties on the strongest fat burners (‘member epherdrine?) and no-longer-legal preworkouts, my adrenals can’t handle even a full can of Celsius much less a Monster. Heck, I can barely withstand half a bottle of 5 Hour Energy without feeling like my veins are going to burst. The same goes with most coffees- nursing a small for a few hours to spread the caffeine out.But Alpha Brain delivers on their promise of not being an insane central nervous system stimulant. I can handle a full dose without consequences- though it ironically isn’t strong enough to wake me up in the mornings. That being said I do appreciate the added mental focus, though I do take it with the Jocko nootropic in the mornings (first alarm 30 min before real alarm where I take 2 Alpha and 2 Jocko with water before going back to sleep- then when real alarm goes off, even if it’s super early like 2:30 or 3, I can basically jump right out of bed, ready to go). Taking Alpha and Jocko make it where I don’t need coffee at all, and start my day with a clear, sharp mind. Plus they are cheaper than buying commercial energy drinks/coffee.The only downside is Alpha Brain is expensive compared to the rest. Anytime you see a celebrity endorsement on a product, just be aware a large stretch of the cost goes to them. That being said, it IS a fantastic product, especially for those sensitive to CNS products or even caffeine.

I bought these based on a suggestion from a friend. So far, I have experienced no energy or increased focus. More than anything, they make me need to use the restroom. It’s impressively consistent in its laxative qualities. But I have noticed I seem less drained overall. More energetic by end of day than usual. I guess every good comes with a downside.
