5.0 de 5 estrellas Great For Deep Frying
I love the peanut oil because it’s a great non-GMO oil for deep frying. It’s flavor is neutral and it fries everything crisp and perfect. It’s also better priced than some of the competitor brands.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Perfect For Frying Chicken!
Growing up my grandma used Crisco to fry chicken. And I pretty much never fat fry anything. But I decided to fry chicken for this past 4th of July. All the recipes I read kept recommending peanut oil due to its hot smoke point. And I remember hearing that is what is recommended for frying turkey. Anyway, read 20 of the reviews. Settled on this brand as it seemed to not leave lingering flavor on the food. It did the job, perfectly! I did add a bit of bacon grease to the pan for flavor the fried chicken. That said, the peanut oil has a nice buttery mouth feel. It is very light in flavor. And everyone loved my fried chicken. I strained the oil post fry as I read you can do that. Place in a air tight container, stored in the fridge. Not sure how long it can last and I am not sure I will be deep fat frying anytime soon. Please see pic of fried chicken I made using Snappy Popcorn oil. Thank you

4.0 de 5 estrellas Makes fries and lumpia taste great!
We were using vegetable oil in our deep fryer before we tried this. I’d heard that restaurants uses peanut oil to cook fries in so we thought we would try it to see if there really was a difference. We could definitely tell a difference. The fries had a nice subtle crunch. They were perfect and tasted just like restaurant fries. Lumpia (Filipino spring rolls) tasted awesome with this oil too. Definitely will continue to purchase this. The only con is it’s a bit expensive.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Mild taste, good for frying.
Snappy popcorn oil is a ‘refined’ oil. Only refined oils have the high smoke point needed for frying. i.e they won’t burn at high heat.In the refining process, however, the oil is bleached and deodorized. This process removes flavor and adds chemicals making it less healthy. I use the refined oil only for deep frying. I use an unrefined oil for cooking. In general, peanut oil is one of the healthiest oils. It is naturally trans fat-free, cholesterol free, and low in saturated fats. It is high in unsaturated fats, especially monounsaturated fat, like olive oil. It also contains natural antioxidants and good fats that protect cells and lower cholesterol levels, making it a healthy cooking choice. Refined peanut oil has a high smoke point (450°F), which makes it good for deep-frying. Unrefined Peanut oil has a smoke point of 320°F.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Really wonderful
This oil arrived today and I IMMEDIATELY opened it to make popcorn. First off, the oil was very fresh. Secondly, it smelled absolutely wonderful. I’ve never purchased peanut oil before and I am very pleased with it already. Then I made a large pot of popcorn. Oh my, was I ever surprised by the flavor and the aroma! It is definitely better than the canola oil we usually use for popcorn. I think I’m already sold on this and will try it on stir fry next.

This oil is wonderful but be prepared to take out a loan to buy it. I thought I was getting two gallons and was shocked when I realized I spent 40$ on a gallon of peanut oil. Quality is excellent, but I won’t buy again at these prices.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Pricey oil but it does the job
4 stars only because of high price, but I ordered it thinking quantities might be limited in stores at Thanksgiving. Ordered 1 jug along with a Butterball Electric Turkey Fryer for Thanksgiving 2014. Bought more oil (Luann at half the price) at local grocery, so used 1 jug Snappy and 1 jug of the other oil. So far the oil has stayed clean through a trial whole chicken in the fryer, followed by a batch of french fries, before we did the large turkey Thanksgiving day. The fryer is ‘living’ on an enclosed porch that does get chilly in winter, so it is kept fresh in the fryer. I’ll continue to use the fryer there until warmer weather. I’m sure I’ll have to drain and perhaps toss the oil at some point, but this fryer will not have heavy use. I do plan to use the oil & fryer soon for a big batch of fried chicken. So far oil & fryer are performing well.

4.0 de 5 estrellas good for high heat frying
I bought this to use with my desk fryer. The high smoke point works best with potatoes and chicken. I live in a cold climate so had to warm it up before using. It had partially solidified from our below freezing weather.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Quality and Economical
The most economical Peanut Oil I can find for Frying. Needing a gallon for the Fryer I pay attention to the cost of oil – and I only use Peanut oil for frying since I often need the full 370+ degrees F and Peanut oil can bear up to high heat well. Decent taste and viscosity. I like it!

5.0 de 5 estrellas Works
I needed peanut oil for cooking, and I don’t particularly care about peanut oil flavor. All I need are the high smoke point and relatively neutral flavor. For example, I just made chili crisp – a Chinese condiment made from chilis and garlic – and this oil was perfect in that. Vegetable oil is too greasy, olive oil imparts a flavor, and this relatively inexpensive peanut oil does a much better job complimenting the flavor profiles I want to build. Totally happy so far.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Exellent Peanut Oil at a Good Price
This is great oil for deep frying. I used to use vegetable oil for frying but never again. This stuff has a high smoke point which allows me to deep fry at higher temperatures. That is the secret to making deep frying healthier. OK, frying is never going to be as healthy as baking but it can be made healthier. The higher temperature quickly sears the outside of the food keeping the food from being soaked with oil or being “greasy”. If you have had really greasy fried food it was probably fried at a low temperature or in old oil or both. Properly fried food should never be greasy. Nuff said.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Mild Flavor
This peanut oil is good for the price overall (make sure you are price checking). It has a mild peanut flavor that doesnt overwhelm your food. This is because this peanut oil is refined and not virgin. If you want a finishing oil buy an extra virgin or virgin peanut oil. If you want a cooking oil/ frying oil. This one works great.I have used it up to 5 consecutive frys before disgarding without noticing any negative flavor changes. Just make sure you strain out any food bits before storing. It has a high smoke temp. I have taken the oil to almost 450° without any smoking.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Getting a gallon for popcorn was great
Not an oil expert, but like to use peanut oil (high smoke point) for heirloom popcorn which pops better with higher heat. I don’t taste anything; just pure clean oil. Felt kinda dubious about buying a gallon of it, but already used half of it. Now I wanna try making donuts or fritters. Or chicken. Would purchase again, for sure.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Deep fried heaven!
Purchased to use in my deep fryer. If you want the best tasting fried food, peanut oil is the way to go. It’s what made the original Buffalo Wings famous. And if you ever taste really good French fries, they’re probably cooked in peanut oil. It’s hard to find gallons in a grocery store. And for about $20, the price is right.Beware of brands that say peanut oil, but are actually blended with cheaper oils.Just the ticket for great tasting fried foods. And probably one of the healthier ways to deep fry in oil.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Try it in your brownie recipe!
We purchased this to use with our deep fryer (and it works awesome for that); however, we recently tried peanut oil in other recipes and I’m so glad I did. It’s very hard to find peanut oil in this quantity anywhere else. Try it in your brownies – I’m the talk of the office and I swear it’s because I use peanut oil in my brownie recipe.

4.0 de 5 estrellas This oil is a good quality but it does not have a strong peanut …
I use a lot of peanut oil when cooking. I cook a lot of asian cuisine in a stainless steel wok. This oil is a good quality but it does not have a strong peanut flavor. I have purchased other oils with more taste but I paid more. For the price this works great. It is healthy and I sometimes mix it with sesame oil to give it more flavor.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Peanut Oil is PERFECT for making French Fries
So perfect for making french fries! Peanut oil can take the heat, so it’s my favorite oil to use to make french fries. Best price I’ve found for a larger quantity of peanut oil. My french fry making has been banished to an outbuilding where I make them in a cast iron pot on top of a woodstove – because my spouse hates the smell of deep frying in the house. Nothing like a fresh batch of hand cut fries – beats frozen fries hands down.

2.0 de 5 estrellas I don’t think this is 100% Peanut Oil
I suspect this oil is either over refined, bleached, or mixed. Unlike other peanut oils I’ve used, It’s completely flavorless and odorless. I’ve been cooking and frying food for well over 45 years. Since I started using this brand, not one batch of anything tastes, looks, or feels as it should. Food tastes as if the seasonings have been fried out of it. A telling sign is that even at a high temperature, I can’t achieve proper crispiness. We get what we pay for.UPDATE: We broke down and bought a bottle of Wesson Vegetable Oil. Guess what. Not only was the chicken flavorful, beautiful coloring, and texture, I also achieved the crispiness we missed.

5.0 de 5 estrellas THIS OIL IS NOT GREASY
It fries everything without putting greasy matter on the food. Heat it up according to your fryer instructions. Mine requires 15 min. to heat up. Food comes out crisp, and tastes very nice. It doesn’t spatter like other oils.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Great for frying
I just bought a large deep fryer and wanted some “healthy” oil. Well, a gallon of peanut oil just came over the minimum level. Despite the low cost of this peanut oil, the taste and performance is great. I’ve been frying like crazy for a week and the oil is still clear and not smoky. Although there may be “healthier” oils out there (and there definitely are a lot of cheaper oils), I love the taste peanut oil gives my food.

3.0 de 5 estrellas Good oil, but not good value. Too expensive compared to super market peanut oil.
I recently purchased a deep fat fryer and I got this peanut oil to use in it. I actually don’t think it is that great of a value. The oil istelf seems very nice. I have fried many things with it and have had no problems and the food always tastes very good. However it is super expensive when compared to the grocery store peanut oil so I don’t think I will be buying this again.
