Fantastic product! I have a beloved dog who is currently being treated for an autoimmune disorder, and her treatment requires high doses of prednisone among other heavy duty medications. One of the many down sides is the body’s inability to fight off the staph that every mammal (humans included) have on their skin all the time. Consequently, her suppressed immune system allowed the staph to become a never-ending series of sores, progressing to a large, red, swollen infection across her chest.Needless to say, my level of worry was off the charts. I was following standard protocol and doing daily diluted peroxide treatments along within sponge baths 3-4 times per week. The vet ordered a specialized antibiotic to knock the infection out, but it would take time to arrive and I was fearful this could easily continue to spread or become a septic MRSA situation in the meantime (having had a relative die of MRSA, I’m well acquainted with how dangerous and quickly this can move into a life/death situation).I discovered Anasept and decided to give it a try to keep things at bay until the antibiotics arrived. I was amazed at how quickly it cleared up the minor infections, and stopped the major chest infection from worsening or spreading further. It’s also great for disinfecting her crate and bowls. I’m SO thankful to have found this!NOTE: Some people have mentioned it smells like bleach. PLEASE DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO USE BLEACH ON YOUR PET OR HUMANS! This formula is based on Dakin’s Solution, a formula that has a bleach base that is further processed with baking soda to “soften” it and make it safe for use on skin and wounds.I was also extremely pleased that Anasept caused no discomfort to my pet, even when applied directly to areas that had open blisters, etc. She remained relaxed, comfortable and sleepy, thinking she was getting attention and “love time”. Every other disinfectant (even diluted) caused a flinch and obviously stung.Her infection was spreading like wildfire until I found this product, which halted the progression immediately, long enough for her meds to arrive. Mine is an extreme case, but I would encourage everyone to have a bottle of Anasept in their arsenal, particularly pet owners, parents or those caring for an elderly person. It handles and clears up even minor skin infections with amazing speed. Great product!

Very little stinging. Smells slightly of bleach, but not strong. Started clearing up my skin infection by the next day. I sprayed it on and let it air dry. Then sprayed on organic aloe from the Seven Minerals company.I saw where someone said that it is just diluted household bleach, but that can’t be further from the truth. According to hunker.com, household bleach contains sodium hypochlorite as the active ingredient, but also contains other chemicals besides sodium hypochlorite. They wrote:”Other chemical ingredients in Clorox include sodium chloride (salt), which thickens and stabilizes the solution. Sodium carbonate (washing soda) is an alkaline cleaning agent that breaks down alcohol and grease stains. Sodium hydroxide (lye) is another alkaline cleaning agent that breaks down fatty, oily or acidic stains. Sodium polyacrylate is a dispersant that prevents loosened soils from depositing back on fabrics during the laundry cycle.”I don’t think all of those other things should go on your skin. I have been very happy with the Anasept. I’m glad I looked up the bleach story before putting that on my skin.

I discovered this product when the home health nurse used it on some really gnarly wounds. She swore by it to help keep risk of infection low without using a harsher solution that can inhibit new tissue replacement. We’ve been very happy with it and this far no infections after months of acute and chronic wound care.Note: We also used this brand’s wound gel and we’re equally pleased until the wound needed to be less moist than the gel allowed for.

Had read how harsh hydrogen peroxide is for skin. I’ve been using it exclusively on my dogs and myself for years. Recently fell and after leaving a few linear inches of top-layer skin on the cement, I hobbled to my computer to look for anasept on Amazon. It does indicate ‘no pain’ somewhere in the description! Thank you, Amazon, for Prime shipping! Wow. A couple weeks later, the peroxide I had went down the drain. It helps a wound heal faster and does not cause any discomfort at application. Downside: Has a ‘bleachy’ smell, but what do you want? The smell goes away as it dries and you’re treating a wound with the same stuff an ER doctor would use. Sprayer is goofy, I can’t seem to get a fine mist out of the thing, so I just keep a towel nearby. I’m getting more of this stuff for my active, outdoor grandkids.

I use this spray after showering to prevent acne breakouts and to treat existing areas. It has a hint of chlorine in the scent but it bleaches towels nor clothes–it is just part of the smell but it dissipates so you don’t walk around smelling like chemical antiseptic.If you have a problem with chronic staph flora, please try this as a means to control it. The spray is as thin as water but spraying it in your hand or onto a paper towel are other ways I apply it to avoid waste.

This has been a miracle for us in keeping the bedsores in check with my dad. His sores used to take weeks to months to heal. I ordered 2 bottles of the Anasept Wound Cleanser. I am a wound care nurse. I buy these supplies from my own pocket. My company doesnt supply them to me as they are quite pricey. I dont mind coz thy are good. The problem is, one of the bottles of the wound cleanser spilled inside the packaging. More than half of it was wasted. It spilled inside the bubble packaging. I would like to ask if they can replace the bottle. There must be something wrong with how they did the packaging. The other bottle was intact. I would appreciate it if they can replace the spilt one.

It’s too bad more people don’t know about this product. It kills 99.9% of all bacteria including MRSA and VRE. Great product for kid’s scrapes because it is saline based and doesn’t sting and promotes healing. It also comes in a gel to be used under a bandage.

This product works better than any other antibiotic ointment or spray thats available without a prescription. I had a leg wound that hadnt healed in two weeks, and after two days of spraying the wound with Anasept, the wound closed up and looked far better.

I am very unhappy that I am having to buy another bottle so soon because the sprayer stopped working for no apparent reason; it will spray outside of the bottle but not when it’s inserted, and it’s still 2/3 full.
