I love to thrift and always try to clean silver trays rather than paint them. I bought this to try on a couple “new” trays. It worked great! It’s quick and effective.I will say, it’s messy and it stinks, so be prepared, but definitely worth the money and effort.

This product does work very well. I received a family tray that had been horribly neglected. It was heavily black. Let me say…it works great. I love Hagerty line of products. I recommend using them. What you need to know is how to use them to make them work best for you.I cleaned a lot of neglected silver and found a method that worked great with these two Hagerty products: the Hagerty Silver Foam and the Hagerty Silversmiths’ Polish.I initially started with the Silversmiths’ Polish. I used blue automotive paper towels and wore latex gloves. I quickly noted the extreme smell other reviewers mentions. It was so bad that it caused my nose to burn. I looked over the bottle and was surprised not to find precautions listed. (I highly recommend wearing gloves and using in a well ventilated area. Dispose of the paper towels in an outside trash can when done.)The Siversmiths’ Polish is also anti-tarnish, which I believe is where the odor comes from. I decided to switch to the Silver Foam. Yes, no odor…and it takes much less product to actually clean. So this is a win. My nose isn’t burning, and I’m not using a ton of product.With the Silver Foam, which works amazing as well, continue to use the latex gloves and blue automotive towels, etc. When you have the piece of silver as clean as you want (no longer have black coming off), rinse off with water and dry.Now it’s time to use the Hagerty Silversmiths’ Polish. This will give it one last good cleaning and put a coat of anti-tarnish on it. Remember to do this with your latex gloves in a well ventilated area.If you store your silver pieces, remember to wrap them in flannel or cheese cloth and place in an anti-tarnish bag or use anti-tarnish strips to help prevent tarnishing.I have not received any compensation for my review. I’m just giving my feedback on my experience with the product. I hope this helps you with your decisions.

I used this product to clean my 925 silver bracelet that after years of wear started to tarnish, even though I clean it weekly with another jewelry cleaner but as of late it was not cleaning it like before. I tried this product and after just one use, my bracelet improved by 98%, used it again and this time my bracelet was back to it’s normal, all nice and pretty. Highly recommend this product.

These earrings belonged to my late mother. During the pandemic, I worked as an essential healthcare worker & I wore her earrings everyday. I nearly threw them away, but hung onto them until I thought I would try to revive the Sheen. I didn’t think it was possible but now ….. I can wear them again and feel my mom with me. This means so much to me. The snowflake earrings are a commemorative gift from the 2002 SLC Olympics. They’re sparkling like new! As you can see ….. I couldn’t stop once I started! Thx for a great product that’s so simple to use!!

This works great on sterling silver or silverplate pieces with a pattern like Repousse, which has multiple layers and spaces between the flowers and leaves. Because it is a thick liquid so we used a damp sponge to apply it. We applied heavy layers so that it seeped down between the design. We let it dry completely and then washed with soapy water; then rinsed and towel dried. It did a great job removing the tarnish.

The cleaner is good but unfortunately the bottle wasn’t sealed properly so when I took it out of the package it stained my clothes. So: be careful!

The polishing is amazing it cleans my rings so well. My ring was starting to tarnish at one point because of using hand sanitizer so often and this stuff did wonders! It helped give my ring back its shine and I haven’t had any issues with it tarnishing since! It leaves it a nice shine and protects it from getting so dirty for a little while after using it!

I purchased this to clean old copper pennies. It did shine them up, however the scent is not appealing. Definately wear gloves when you clean, because it does leave white marks on your fingers

I’ve used this brand many times and it’s always great. It’s very fast to use and takes the tarnish off with minimal effort. Even after you have used it and later there is small amounts of tarnish they can be removed with a soft dry cloth. This allows the polish to last a long time. I’ve used others and they work less easily and don’t clean as well and this brand leaves a soft sheen. Be very careful with any objects or jewelry with niello because it will remove it and part of the artistry of the piece will be lost.

This stuff far exceeded my expectation. I left both my chain and ring in cleaner overnight and both of them had absolutely NO shine.Was veryyy skeptical of the “1 minute” promise but LOOK! I should’ve taken before shots but they look amazing!Highly recommend, use gloves so you fully coat the pieces. I just dipped the whole chain in the bottle and polished it clean then rinsed it for any lingering chemicals.

Hagerty’s polish has been around since the dawn of time, and it still works as well (and smells as bad) as it did when your great-grandma used it. I had a trombone mouthpiece that hadn’t been touched in over twenty-five years, had turned completely black from tarnish, and in less than five minutes a few dabs of this polish had removed every trace of tarnish and had the mouthpiece sparkling again. It’s a miracle in a bottle.But I’m not kidding about the smell.

I’ve used alot of silver cleaners in the past and I can tell you they smell horrible; on top of bad smell to be successful you have to run the silver until your arms fall off!This product is amazing. Very mild smell and I only used a little with a cotton ball and then washed it off with a brush and toothpaste. My drying went back to it’s original shine!! Wow! Thank you! Pleasantly surprised.

As you can see these were in need of a cleaning and shine, as they had patina pretty bad. I am very happy with this jewelry cleaner/shine! I did research and reviews on the best one to buy and Hagerty’s did not disappoint! There’s a small product smell, but not too bad. Your fingers will get messy but it does wash off easily with soap and water. I highly recommend this product for cleaning your antique silver jewelry. The gems are Opals and this polish did not harm them, I do feel like they appear more vibrant now, due to the overall shine of the silver!

I’ve never seen a silver cleaner work so well, it seriously does bring back the shine! The smell is quite awful I must say, but it’s worth the result. The directions to tell you to rinse the jewelry after, but be sure to rinse for a decent amount of time to get the smell off the piece as best as possible. I’m so glad I bought this cleaner, i haven’t worn these pieces and the others I cleaned in a very long time because of their tarnished look. I can’t wait to wear them again! I also cleaned my pandora bracelet and the charms on it, worked perfectly!!!

I enjoy picking up old silver pieces at thrift stores and shining them up. I bought a bottle of this last year and have cleaned multiple, very tarnished pieces with that one bottle. Years, maybe even decades, of tarnish. It still does take elbow grease with a soft cloth like an old t-shirt, but it works!

Idk but I used this on a ring and it worked to get the tarnish off… I allowed the ring to dry with this stuff on and even did another coat to be careful and wiped it off with the soft cloth and about a week later I washed my hands and the tarnish was back.
