5.0 de 5 estrellas Beautiful color
I purchased the color “Crete” (olive green) to repaint my bathroom vanity and a free standing 5 drawer dresser. Both items needed two coats for complete coverage. The color is lovely. So far after three months, there are no areas of discoloration, scratches, etc. The paint is durable. I sealed the painted surfaces with clear finishing wax. I am so pleased that I’m planning to repaint my kitchen cabinets from cream to this color.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Very easy even for an amateur!
I have never painted a piece of furniture before, so this was my first try at something like this. I used a small roller to apply and it went on easily. It began drying very quickly, so I was able to do the top first then the legs, and the by the time I got back to the top it was ready for the next coat.I feel like the coverage is good, even on a rugged piece like this with lots of wood grain and texture. The finish is smooth, I would be happy to use this on other pieces. One word of caution: my roller got a little dry at the end and it started pulling the setting paint up so… once it’s down leave it alone or make sure your brush has plenty of product on it otherwise it starts pulling it off.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Product leaked in transit
The color is true and thank goodness its water based. The manufacturer’s seal under the lid leaked and paint got outside the lid around the edge and on part of the cap. Still ok for me once i cleaned it up but i believe the seal material is too thin and porous. Just wanted to warn others.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Use primer
This paint is beautiful but very thin. If you’re painting over dark wood, use a primer. This states all in one, but some of my cabinet doors I had to put 5 coats on. The first can came busted, they promptly replaced the can. I ended up using a glidden interior white paint as a primer on the remaining cabinet pieces to ensure my gallon would stretch. I would’ve given 5 stars had it truly been an all-in-one paint.

I used this to refinish a tv cabinet and I am so happy with the results. I gave it a light sanding first and then applied a couple of coats. It went on well and looks so rich and lustrous. I highly recommend!

5.0 de 5 estrellas Love this paint!
I was looking for a paint that I could use on some furniture. I read the reviews and read the company story and settled on this paint. Well I have bought 3 quarts and now a gallon is on the way. I love this paint, the ease of using it , there was a small learning curve since it’s self leveling but I figured it out quickly. The finish is beautiful, low luster sheen and my projects all look beautiful! I am hooked and have even used this on my front door outside and it’s stunning. I am hooked!

4.0 de 5 estrellas Great Paint
I used colosseum white for the top and oxford gray for the bottom cabinets. Was very easy to go on. I did have to use 3 coats. I also purchased a sealing top coat paint because I did fry in my kitchen after and noticed it splattered a little and it didn’t wipe off as easy. Now that its sealed I can clean them and wipe them down 123. The paint made a major difference to the look of my kitchen.

This cabinet is over 70 years old, I sanded it and still had lots of paint and lacquer on it. I chose to try this paint and I was NOT disappointed! This is only 1 coat. I also used it over veneer and it turned out pretty!

5.0 de 5 estrellas All UPDATE!!!! In One Paint Bone and island in Oyster
UPDATE; added Oyster to island to add contrast to cabinets in bone. Oyster is a beautiful true taupe and matches the kitchen knob colors.Nice Love the outcome.Moved into my Cape Cod home 4 years ago and finally got the courage to paint my yellowed, shiny cabinets. Black appliances look much better and color Bone has an off white appearance but looked slightly grey tint to me so I chose it to compliment blk appliances, backsplash and counter, for a easy coastal feel. Looked at many videos on how to apply this paint type and believe me it was worth it . Got the brushes and used their technique to get good results. Paint has a nice consistency and I found it covers well!! Once cured on the surface I did try scratching it to see if it was resistant to scratches, and it dried like a rock!! I do have high hopes it will last. FYI I did WASH down the cabinets with vinegar and water and rinsed and dried them well. I also sanded one and did not sand others to see if I’d get same results. I did, so I was confident that I need not sand at all. Just washed down surface well. Very, very happy with results and found it fun to paint my own kitchen. Not hard at all. Just did few at a time on my kitchen counter Yes, the hardest part is choosing your color. Good luck getting started.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Loved using this product, testimonial from a not-craft first timer
Yup, I’m hooked. I am the worst painter and with a sponge brush, there were no lines. My husband is a builder and hates when I paint because he feels it is a reflection on him when people come in the house. BUT if I waited for him to paint, forget it. So I paint sometimes. I’ve gotten better but still not up to his standards. Also, he has been opposed to all this chalk paint DIY that’s been the new rage, he was so opposed to anything that would chip off or need yearly waxing. He’s just all about his Ben Moore. Anyway, I had an awful vanity that needs to be replaced. It’s the type that is surfaced in that wood look shiny paper. We aren’t replacing until next year and I hate looking at the eyesore when the rest of the bathroom is so nice and done. I said, screw it, I can’t make it worse, so I informed him I was going to try chalk paint. His response was fine, at least we can wash it off before it cures when you realize how bad it will look. So I set out, fully prepared that he would be disappointed, lol but what the heck, try new things. First off, my vanity was NOT the ideal surface for painting and even less ideal probably for chalk paint. Completely non porous. I degreased as recommended. So it took me at least 4 coats to cover because of the surface material (slick, paint doesn’t absorb). For reference, I painted a small wood item, too – a tissue box – and it looked great from coat one and the second coat was perfection. So it’s all about the surface when it comes to coats. Anyway, when I was done, my husband came in and said – wow – that’s the best paint job you’ve ever done. LoL. Funny, because I literally was SO messy doing this. It was Friday, working from my home office on quarantine, and there was a bottle of wine involved (it was a stressful work from home day full of COVID related complications at work, we are in an epi-center and that day really sucked for someone to working in HR in an essential industry). I was basically hitting it every 2 hours (the wine and the painting), breaking all the rules of painting, just to get away from my desk. But it was my best work ever, according to him, haha. And it really DOES look good – it almost looks sprayed on. I cannot take the credit for that, at all – this was not skill, this was entirely product!! So smooth. And the color is GREAT! Highly pigmented, Abbey is a perfect dark greige (is it brown, is it charcoal – who knows?! It works great with our weather barnwood and transitional/loft style master bath decor). Very easy clean up, too – again, I was drinking wine and by coat 3, I was really not caring about coloring inside the lines. Cleaned right up from the white tile and white painted walls, no staining. I mean, I don’t recommend being as careless as I was, I’m just saying that a wayward drop of paint didn’t destroy what it landed on, and I didn’t have to prep for protection anywhere near what I do with latex. And it dries super fast (yet didn’t dry out in the paint tin I was using for application). The only downside – and it’s probably mostly to do with the surface material, 100% – easy to chip in spots. Again, considering the surface material will not grip it like a wood, that’s not the paints fault. What I did was to hit it that weekend with 3 coats of General Finishes flat top coat (that’s the good stuff and highly recommended by woodworkers as a top coat and reviewed as best overall top coat for chalk paint – speciality item, won’t find it at Home Depot). I spent the extra $ on it because I was so happy with my cheap little chalk paint job that I wanted to give it respect! Haha, true though – I want to keep it looking as good as it does. So while you are supposed to not need a wax or a top coat, I did use one – but you may not need one on a better surface. I am using the rest of my paint to do a porous wood hamper – I may not need a top coat with the wax built into this product and a surface that will accept paint.Anyway back to my builder husband. Mind you, when I say builder, he builds million dollar homes and multi-million dollar remodels in the Boston area. Best quality of everything for these people, we’re talking $1000 shower heads. Ya, I know, you’d think I wouldn’t be refinishing a crappy $200 vanity in my own home, but that’s how it goes with someone who doesn’t want to work when they get home from work and I have to force to be house-proud. He can build amazing things but he could care less about whether his home decor is outdated from 30 years ago. Anyway, he has decided that he is going to chalk paint our sleigh bed and bureaus now. He’s going to do it because even though my work was “great”, imagine how great it will be if he does it (he’s not wrong, just a little full of himself lol). I wanted to buy a new set and I still do, but at least now our old one will match the master remodel we are finishing up until I can get one. It won’t be an eyesore to me every time I walk in the finished room and think about how I have to wait to replace it. We’re going to try antiquing this time for a weather look. I’m sure it will be lovely.Anyway, if you’re thinking about diving into chalk paint, I recommend this brand very much. I’m not sure I would have had the same experience with other brands that seem to have a lot more of a learning curve and a lot more steps involved. Plus Heritage has a ton of examples on their website to give you inspiration. I may even try their gel stain next (just wish they still offered it in Carbon, what’s up with only the one color, Heritage?). I may even join their monthly club for the new colors. Lots of fun, I’m seeing a lot of projects with this product!!

5.0 de 5 estrellas AMAZING paint
I am so pleased with this paint. The color I chose, putty, is gorgeous. I will say, it looks a lot warmer with a slight mauve shade to it in the picture online. In reality, it is a light, soft coolish grey. I used it to paint my dresser which had come to have a yellowish tint to it. The surface of the dresser is very smooth so I was nervous about painting it without sanding or priming, but this paint is seriously like magic. I used a foam roller for most of it and a simple paint brush for the small areas. It goes on so smoothly and the coverage is phenomenal. I had to do a few layers on the larger areas, but I only did 2 layers on the drawers. It dries a light matte. I will definitely be buying more colors soon. You can’t beat this stuff, when they say you don’t have to sand or prime, they really mean it. I added a picture of the drawers, hopefully that gives a good idea of what this color really looks like.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Painting game changer!!!!
I bought this paint after reading some reviews. I was going to paint my builder grade bathroom cabinets. I really didn’t want to have to go through the whole sanding process, especially after I did that with another nameless brand in another bathroom and it was miserable. Also the other brand paint didn’t really hold up that well and had started chipping/scratching after only about 2 days.I bought this and immediately was thinking it was a splurge based on the size of the container and the price. I thought this was going to be gimmicky, but I’d give it a try.I have to eat my own words because this is hands down THE BEST PAINT I HAVE EVER USED. I have painted so many things in my life and I am now 100% sold on this.Literally everything about this product is worth it!First of all, the can is the nice plastic material that is so much easier to open/close than metal cans. There are pretty much no fumes associated with it – something that I didn’t even really think about or notice while using (which just goes to show you how non-noxious this was if you aren’t even noticing it at all). The paint application was just top-notch. The consistency is thicker (but not too thick) and smooth. It is not runny/drippy and also doesn’t splatter easily. The coverage is very consistent and just looks fantastic. And while I thought the can was “small” – a little goes a long way with this paint. I painted the entire cabinet in the bathroom and only used about 1/4 of the can. I literally think I did 1 full coat and then I just went back and touched up some areas just to make sure I had a full coverage. Also the color is very true. I got Iron Gate which is black….but it’s a nice creamy charcoal black. It has a lot of depth to it. I am actually really excited to try some of their grey colors because I have had poor luck with true greys at big box stores..This is hands down the best paint I’ve ever used.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Fresh and pretty!
Top is Bone (2 quarts, 3 coats) and bottom is London (1 quart, 2 coats). Previous finish was an antiqued off white Rustoleum DIY kit back in 2013. Used the deglosser as instructed. Cabinets are 40 years old.Four stars until I see how durable this paint is. It’s not a chalk paint or anything I’ve ever used before, so there was a learning curve. I used the brush and roll method. The round brush is high quality and surprisingly so are the foam rollers.Problems mentioned in other reviews were helpful. Some that I encountered and fixes:- Streaking/brush strokes/sticking: Load up the brush liberally to halfway, wipe off only one side on can, and paint only with the loaded side. The point is to spread the paint evenly in manageable sections with the brush, then lightly roll immediately to disperse air bubbles.- Large air bubbles: Too much paint. Spread paint with brush to where the brush still feels slick but not goopy.- Paint pigment separated upon opening can: Stir, don’t shake, at least 2 min or until blended. Stir each time can is opened again.- Paint spilled on arrival (Amazon): This happened with Amazon, but not direct from HTP (packaged better). Paint was same quality, thickness etc.- Color not accurate: I had shadowing in my kitchen that caused the London to look more blue than green, at first. As paint cured, it morphed into its true color.- Lighter colors needing more coats: True, but not the ridiculous 4-6 coats others mentioned. If you apply the paint generously, 3 coats is plenty. Two was perfect on the London.- Rollers/brush flaking apart: Use the tool cleaner provided after every use, especially around the roller edges. The flaking is dried paint, not foam. No brush hairs experienced.Impressions: Love the look. This is by no means a one coat paint and doesn’t claim to be. It is WORK to tape, drop cloth, wash, prep, and remove hardware and hinges (no way could I paint with doors on, good grief). But the look is worth it. Four stars because I’m not happy with the way it feels (rough) and I don’t know how durable it will be after the 30 day hard cure period. If it’s scratch resistant and able to keep clean, I will update to 5 stars. I did not seal or put a polycryl finish on.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Lovely paint, BUT make sure you use round brush!
This was my first dresser project and I am in love with the final product! I cleaned and lightly sanded the dresser by hand before painting it. I was able to finish this dresser using 2 coats and a little less than half the pint of paint is left. I had to do damage control with the bottom drawer, since I used a small foam roller which resulted in bubbling. Definitely make sure you use a round brush with this paint! I’m hoping it will hold up to normal wear and tear, as this is going in one of the kid’s rooms. I’m already looking at colors for my kitchen cabinets and backsplash.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Very Pretty and Soft Off White
I purchased a Queen Anne style drop leaf coffee table and separate solid wood side chair, both in darker finishes, for a room that already had a much lighter color scheme. One quart was able to paint both pieces and still have a little bit left for touch ups in the future. It looks lovely when fully covered but I had expected an all-in-one paint to require fewer coats….I did 3 coats on each piece. Seems like an all-in-one product should coat opaquely in 2 coats at most. But the color is very nice.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Great paint but you still have to put in the work
Watch the videos! I used the degreaser/de glosser to clean/prep first and EW. You don’t think you need it but you do. For painting, if you want it to self-level and to avoid brushstrokes you’re gonna need to apply liberally and follow with the roller like they say. I saw how well the first coat self-leveled and thought that was really cool and that I would be fine just using a brush. Subsequent coats showed the brushstrokes more, so do not try to skip the roller like I did. It is worth it. Still less work than sanding before and between coats. Seems pretty sturdy so far, I did have a couple of spots scratch off right after it dried, but the full curing time they recommend does make a difference, so be patient. I suck at painting things because I want that instant gratification of it being done and perfect, but if you can hold your horses then this will work great.

This is my new favorite paint. I’ve used 3 of the colors so far. Iron Gate, Cashmere, and Simply Sage. I also used the satin water resistant sealer which was also amazing. I decided to do some renovating around the house but didn’t want to break the bank doing it. I seen some reviews of Heirloom Traditions and decided to give it a try. So glad I did! I’ve used in my kitchen and two bathrooms. I painted cabinets, countertops, an accent wall, and tub/ shower. It worked very well for all those projects. Such a great product!

I’ve used other chalk paints for cabinets in the past and this is by far the best product I’ve used. I didnt buy the expensive brushes – I used a simple thin flat square head paintbrush. It says no need to sand before however I used a liquid desander to clean the cabinets first since my cabinets were needing to be cleaned first. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! It is an amazing paint. Very thick and goes a long way. Took 3 coats to finish this dresser. The dresser is laminate and all I did was clean it really well, let it dry, and applied my first coat. Looked rough after one coat. The nooks and crannies are hard to get into without a paint brush. Stipling might work but I have large grooves in his piece. It seems to stick well and dried fast. If you can use a sponge and blow on the paint to get rid of the bubbles. Works well for laminate so I think it would look nice on any wood type material. I tried a foam brush but it also made texture. Haven’t tried sanding between coats. Used polo.

Although the directions son this paint said it was not necessary to remove the old paint or sand; I decided to stripe the old paint off and sand the desk. 3.0 de 5 estrellas Expensive for typical use
This has got to be the most expensive paint to paint your cabinets with. I purchased the 32 ounce can for my kitchen. I did everything the instructions said to do. I used the Glosser as instructed and then I started painting. And painting. And painting. And painting. Four coats later, I finally achieved the look that I wanted without it being streaky.I was able to paint 6 cabinet doors and 5 drawers before running out of paint, which is insane to say the least. On the second set of cabinets I even lightly sanded to see if that made a difference, which didn’t. I think it’s just the paint quality. Now I’m stuck waiting for more to arrive before I can finish my kitchen. I’m definitely going to use a primer on the rest of the cabinets because there is no way this paint includes a primer and you have to use 4 Coates to not appear streaky. I wish I had of chosen a different brand before I started this project because this just is not it y’all.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Beautiful color and only took one coat!
Love this color and it went on so smoothly! I did sand before painting only because the previous color on the table was red. I applied a wax coat after just in case so it will hopefully not scuff or chip. I bought the quart and it did the whole table and stools and paint still leftover. Would recommend this paint.

With just a 2 inch paint brush I did my entire kitchen in an afternoon. Granted I was painting over this brands green so I already basically had a coat down. Super easy application.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Awesome finish and Easy to apply
This product does exactly what it says. It really covers up some troubled spots and it came out beautiful to put the final touch our new kitchen. I would tell anyone to try this before buying a new one. I could not be more pleased.

I have done 3 pieces of furniture with this and still plenty of paint. It goes along way and is good quality. Makes furniture look high end.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Great paint
My oak fireplace looks fabulous using this paint. I did prime it first, it says you don’t have to. The color Sage is absolutely perfect. We built the mantle ourselves 10 years ago and we were very tired of the oak.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Exceeded my expectations
No prep work. Easy on. It took 4 coats as I was covering a black bedroom set. Paint set flawlessly after drying. Not easily scratched.

5.0 de 5 estrellas 10/10 would recommend!!!
This paint is AWESOME!!! I wanted to give my old dresser a facelift and chose this paint in IRON GATE (Black). I could decide between milk paint, chalk paint or this one. I finally decided to cave and buy this paint and I don’t regret the decision at all. The picture shown is just 1 coat. I’ll do one more for sure, but I’m so happy with the results with just the first coat! I don’t think I’ll ever use a different product for furniture again! I’m even debating repainting my cabinets with another color this brand sells. It seems very durable. And bonus points for it not being stinky!

4.0 de 5 estrellas Salt water is not pale green. It’s blue.
No se pudo cargar el archivo multimedia. It was blue after the first coat and it’s still blue after the second coat unfortunately.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Makes Painting a joy
What fun.. I am in my eighties and love projects made easy. The All-in-One method is easy, and rewarding. Plus cleaning up is as simple as washing a dish. Watching examples on YouTube made it an even more simple process.
