I’m 36. It used to be that the only thing that gave me bad gas was eating beef or PMS. I can peel wallpaper, let me tell you. Don’t know why, but it did.Several years ago I began taking high blood pressure meds which contain a diuretic. You have to drink lots of water with that, otherwise you will become constipated!!A year ago I started taking an anti-anxiety medication which messed with my gut about 3 months after use. The medication is absorbed in the gut, thus the potential for digestive issues. I figure my issues arose out of this + the combination of my HBP meds.I was constipated no matter what I did! I felt bloated and the gas pains were excruciating. Definitely not something you need during the work day. I weaned myself off of the anti-anxiety meds and my gut was still not right, even after about 3 months. I’m a regular lady– I drink my coffee first thing, and then I ‘go’. Well, I wasn’t ‘going’ enough, thus my issues above.I tried taking Milk of Magnesia. That would clear me out for a few days and then I’d go back to that full feeling again. It also gives you the ‘runs’ like crazy, so not recommended. It also causes your gut to make loud, gassy noises in the middle of a very quiet work office… so, yeah.Someone recommended I try a probiotic, so to Amazon I went. This particular brand has some great reviews, so I figure, ‘Why not?’. The first week I took two pills in the AM and I felt so much better just after a few days! I did decrease my pills to just 1 per day (the probiotic was working a little too well…), in the morning with coffee (no food). AM is much more convenient for me as I don’t eat for a few hours after my coffee. I was confused on the ‘no food’ part of taking this, but I’ve been OK taking it with coffee at least. I don’t think I’d be very pleasant at all if I 1) Had no coffee in the AM and 2) Could not poop.It’s been just shy of 30 days now and everything is much softer and regular. My belly is back to normal and I don’t feel like my pants will rip! Thank. Goodness. You have saved not only my pants, but my poor daughter and husband that have dealt with my smelly rear for the past year.

UPDATE:I’ve been using “#1 BEST Probiotic” for well over a week, and can now give an educated review. I ordered the, so-called, “#1 BEST Probiotic” as it, supposedly, has “good colon bacteria” and, “decreases flatus smell”. Also, supposedly, ” promotes daily relief from allergies, gas, bloating and constipation “. On! it, also, ” reduces colon polyps” and “helps control appetite and weight, helps reduce urinary tract infections, yeast infections and acne problems.” It cures anything that ails you, and is a Miracle In A Bottle. This is bogus and false advertising!Fructooligosaccharide is misspelled on the bottle. “nutrition essentials Probiotic” spells it “Fructooligasaccharide.” It should be “…ligo…,” not “…loga…” Why would a person purchase an item when the manufacturer cannot spell one of only two ingredients? I didn’t realize the misspelling until I received the “nutrition essentials Probiotic.” FOS is known to cause gas, bloating, stomach cramps and diarrhea.I followed the directions on the bottle, and took their Probiotic on an EMPTY stomach. Rather than helping to alleviate the gas, bloating and stomach cramps, “nutrition essentials Probiotic” exacerbated the problems.Shortly after receiving “#1 BEST Probiotic Supplement,” I received an email from “nutrition essentials” asking if I would write a review of their product. I replied, asking them if their Probiotic could cause gas, bloating etc. I said I would be more then happy to write a review after I had received an answer to my question. That was four or five days ago, and I’ve yet to receive a reply. As I have not received the courtesy of a reply, I have chosen to review the product going by my experiences.My question is, who, rated it “#1″? Must start by saying that after seeing 2000+ reviews regarding this product, and having been sold on probiotics for around 2 years, I decided to go with the numbers of happy customers, per say. To my surprise, and why not?, my delight as well, an offer came with my order of 1 bottle that said to go to their website if I wanted a free bottle. I am not going to hide the fact that for a second or two the offer seemed too good to be true, specially since not a whole lot of information was required when I, of course, applied for my free bottle. In this matter I just simply can not help myself, I like free sometimes. Then, going back to the offer and the number of reviews, I said this company know how to motivate consumers like me. As to the quality of the product, which is really the most essential part of any transaction I make, I can not really say enthusiastically: two thumbs up!, for today I took my first tablet, but let it be said that their description of the product, and the massive positive reaction demonstrated in Amazon, this probiotic looks on paper like the tsunami of probiotics, a powerful, and safe option. I have tried several top brands, and I am hoping for the one probiotic that can make life a lot easier on the elimination department, something I wholeheartedly agree is a vital component of a healthy life.Final Report: After trying this product for the last 5 months or so, I do not think this is the best of what is out there. The one thing that I found out the hard way is: when someone with constipation uses this product, it takes sometimes several days for things to work, but when they finally do they go to treacherous results. In other words from constipation to absolute disastrous diarrhea, which makes it highly unreliable unless one will remain close to a suitable bathroom. Let’s just say it is not a smooth regularity it promotes, but rather an extreme moment that arrives with very little warning. Of course everyone is different, but for the purpose of assisting someone with difficulty in the elimination process, this one is a time bomb ready to explode at times. Very unpredictable, and must be said it requires copious amounts of water for faster results, like just about any other similar probiotic out there. 3 Stars.

I’ve suffered from gastritis for the past 10 years, ever since I had a few too many whiskey and lemonade’s during a bout of continuous ibuprofen use due to illness. This was when I was 18, life was good. Ever since then I have had multiple doctors tell me the only cure to my constant stomach pain, which happened every time I was hungry or after not eating for a few hours, was omeraprozale..or however you spell it. After battling with this for many years I decided to take a more natural remedy to my situation. Especially since prolonged use of proton-pump inhibitors has been linked to other health issues later in life. A little research on google and I discovered that I should probably try taking a probiotic.I never leave reviews unless I’ve used the product thoroughly and without a doubt would recommend it to friends/loved ones. This product I have recommended to everyone I know that has mentioned stomach problems to me.Within a week of daily use, this pill has relieved me of more pain and constant indigestion due to stomach ulcers caused by gastritis than any other medication I have tried in 10 years. I now live my life pain free when waking up in the morning and when hungry throughout the day. This product has so far changed my life and I have waited 6 months to write a review since I am not one to jump the gun and assume something works without putting it through the ringer. I have been ordering this every month, and plan to use this for the rest of my life.You can thank monsanto for poisoning our grains/herbs with herbicides, which in-turn have trickled into our food-source and have been proven to kill essential stomach bacteria, which this probiotic replenishes. Warning: I used this to treat a digestive problem and be writing about it in a frank manner but is not intended to disturb or shock anyone.I had been having problems with gas and completing my morning daily ever since I had to take a variety of antibiotics for an unrelated condition at the beginning of the year (6 months or so). I first looked into probiotics after a weekend where one of my friends went to visit and we made not the best drink and food choices for a whole weekend. What followed was significant digestive distress for about 5 weeks, coming and going that was, on certain days, not controllable by the familiar pink liquid used to treat loose stool and similar digestive problems. It got significant enough I was taking days home from work for a few days at a time.During this period I tried a variety of this to help alleviate the problem. I mentioned bismuth-subsalicylate liquid but also cut back on fiber, of which I normally eat a very high-fiber diet. When suffering from diarrhea most advise to cut back on the fiber and to eat some white bread etc. I tried that for a week and when that didn’t work I eliminated coffee, in which the acid can cause digestive problems over time. I did the same for dairy where possible, and cut back on sugar significantly. By the time I had eliminated or cut back everything it hadn’t gotten any better or worse.A friend advised I tried probiotics (don’t worry I didn’t go into this much detail), this was well-reviewed and figured it couldn’t hurt. I got the tablets, took the higher-dose of the advised 2 per day and by the end of the bottle I was feeling not just back to how I felt 6 weeks ago but back to how I felt more than 6 months ago. Needless to say I wish I would have started sooner. I can’t in all honesty say I took 2 pills and felt better 3 minutes later but after 3 days it had stopped and didn’t return in the 34 days since I started. Within a week or so the gas had subsided and by the middle/end of week 2 I didn’t have any symptoms to report. The last 2 weeks of the pills saw me return to 100%.Some advice from me:The instructions are to take them on an empty stomach (if you’re unfamiliar, that means no food 2 hours before or after taking them).I would up taking them first thing in the morning and eating later which worked out for me. I tried taking them at night a few nights but they kept me up. Everybody’s different but finding a time to take them shouldn’t be challenging for anyone.So, why not 5 stars? I got a total of 7 broken tablets in mine which seems abnormally high. I regularly have vitamins and supplements sent through Amazon that have all survived. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a broken pill and 7 seemed abnormally high. Also the inside of the bottle was coated in the dust from the broken pills. This didn’t ruin the efficacy or bother me but maybe some additional cotton or similar could prevent that.

Although this product didn’t work out for me personally, enough other people have benefited from this product that I’d say it’s worth giving it a try. It may work for you, too. In my case, I was chronically having to make multiple trips to the bathroom most days due to diarrhea. I tried this product for about 3 weeks, to see if it would help my stomach to work better. After those 3 weeks, I hadn’t noticed any difference. I went to my doctor to get checked out and have tests run. They couldn’t find anything wrong with my stomach. The next thing I looked at was my diet and it seemed like I wasn’t getting much of any fiber. I started eating at least 6 slices of wheat bread per day, and since then I’ve been down to just one bowel movement a day, about a “medium” consistency. Like anything else, there’s always a trade-off. I now tend to have gas more often, but I’d rather deal with that than the diarrhea. So if you’re stomach is giving you trouble, go ahead and give this product a try. If it doesn’t work, I would recommend you been seen by a doctor to make sure there isn’t something wrong. If that checks out, maybe take a look at your diet and see if maybe there’s something that’s out of balance. On another note, I know someone else that used to have chronic issues with constipation until they added refried beans to their daily diet. To be clear, it’s not my intention here to pretend to know what foods you should be eating. Everyone’s different. I’m just saying maybe try experimenting with different foods to see if you can find a diet that will work better with your stomach while still giving you the nutrition you need. Best of luck 🙂

I’m asking Amazon for a refund , I purchased 3 bottles and was all excited, but there is no information on CFU count, and with a little research you find out its minimal amount, definitely not 900 billion, that is for the whole bottle apparently… I found a different brand that states exactly per serving, I was told to get atleast 50 billion per serving….

Coagulans probiotic in a single tablet (450 Billion). However, the label on the bottle itself states the following:Super Probiotic Blend ………… 75 mg Uni-BactCF-15 (Bacillus Coagulans 15 B CFU/G)So, I really don’t understand what it all means, but it seems to say that it contains 75 mg of B. Coagualns, which is equivalent to 15 billion CFU/G. I’m not sure if that’s correct, but I don’t see how that’s equivalent to 900 Billion per dose of 2 tablets. (I suggest that NE should clarify all that on the label.)Nevertheless, this particular strain of probiotic has some powerful health digestive benefits. It elevates beneficial bacteria (Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, Clostridium lituseburense, Bacillus spp. And Eubacterium rectale) amounts. Best of all it helps regulate bowl movement, reduce IBS and constipation, and can even help reduce insulin levels. Not to forget, it’s made in the USA.One tiny caveat, the pills are soft enough to break if the bottle were to be shaken, and a good amount of fine powder is left at the bottom, so when you tilt the bottle to get the last pill out, all that powder will pour in your palm.

I’m so glad I found this product. The probiotic I normally use is no longer available so this was the next best option. Took a chance on it and I’m glad I did. I’ve had really great results so far after only a week or so. I purchased a 3 month supply (since the serving size is two tablets) in hopes that this brand would meet my expectations. I’ve tried just about every brand out there and have probably spent thousands on probiotics alone over the past 10 years for GI issues. These are far more cost effective than the other quality brands I’ve tried. I will definitely be coming back to these and recommending them to others. They’re a bit hard to swallow since they get a bit gritty when wet , so they stick in your mouth/throat. But there’s no taste at all, which is good. Once you get used to how they go down it gets a little easier. Definitely don’t pass on these. Highly recommend.

I took Garden of Life Probiotics which worked well but I have an issue with their packaging. The capsules will only fill about 1/3 of the container. I tried these and they work as well. I’ve never had problems swallowing even large tablets, but these will only go down slowly. Now, I break them in half, take a big sip of water, tilt my head back, and swallow. I almost dread taking them because of that. I wonder if others have the same issue. For this reason alone I will switch to a different probiotic once these are gone.

For the record – I ordered a bottle of nutrition essentials probiotic all on my own (twenty bucks). Maybe two weeks later, I received a post card from nutrition essentials with an offer for an additional free bottle (or a bottle of one of their other products) if I were to write an HONEST review. Since I was planning on ordering more anyway, it saved me twenty bucks and motivated me to write a review (something I haven’t done in a while but enjoyed doing in the past).After a lot of research on probiotics in general, then hesitation on which brand to try – I landed on nutrition essentials. I was especially hesitant to try big box store brands given recent scandals in the actual ingredients in supplements (their weren’t any of the claimed ingredients). As many of us know, supplements ingredients are not FDA regulated. Hopefully, some day that will change. Nutrition essentials has claims of independent verifications, and given their relatively low cost I decided to try them out. Not a whole lot to lose if there was no effect anyway.So, I ordered a bottle of and started taking a dose in the morning, before breakfast, with warm-to-room temperature water. First thing I noticed was no after taste, or upset stomach of any sort. So far so good. A few days later, I noticed I was just generally feeling better, lighter… an absence of gastro issues.Mind you, I wasn’t having terrible issues to start with – just kinda gassy after certain foods, or I’d wake up with in the middle of night, with gastro discomfort usually resulting in a 15 minute trip to the bathroom. But all that started going away, and I realized I had more issues than I thought – now that I was feeling much better. The final push to try a probiotic was a round of antibiotics for a sinus infection that turned in a major jaw joint (TMJ) issue. The antibiotics just aggravated the gastro issues I already had. Also, I don’t take any other supplements. I tried fish oil a while back for cholesterol, but didn’t see any results and gave up on supplements in general.But then, something unexpected happened. I ate hot buffalo style chicken wings and didn’t have any gastro issues. I know, stupid to eat a food that makes one sick, but damn I love buffalo chicken wings – hot style with bleu cheese. I ate them, was anticipating the stomach pain and burning trip to the bathroom in the middle of night – but NOTHING. No pain. No issues. Everything normal. So I wanted to push it and see if I could eat anything else and not have issues. I could always eat cheese – but not ice cream or milk. I drank some milk – no issues. I ate ice cream – no issues. I honestly don’t know if probiotics are supposed to have this kind of effect, but either way, I can eat things I couldn’t before, now without issue.It’s nice to live without an anxiety of eating certain foods that I had before. Something else happened that was very odd. The rest of my family (wife and two young kids) all got terrible stomach viruses, vomiting… the works. And for the first time… I didn’t catch whatever it was they had. None of us could believe it. Normally, if their sick for 2 days – that meant I’d be sick for 5 days no matter what. But not this time. Again, not sure if probiotics are known to have this kind of effect.My wife started taking them now because neither of us can believe how much better I’m doing. She was on some strong antibiotics too, for other issues. I’m trying to talk my dad into taking them because he’s gone through back-to-back rounds of antibiotics for oral/tooth infection issues. He’s got heartburn so bad that he’s afraid to eat anything. I’ll bet it’s because his good bacteria was wiped out and all that’s left is bad bacteria and stomach acid.So, so what… I can eat chicken wings and ice cream and milk again. But here’s the best unintended side effect – because I see a real change (even a small one) in my health, it’s kick started my motivation to get healthier. I ordered Nutrition Essentials Neuro Clarity (which unfortunate doesn’t seem to be doing squat) and I started taking an off-the-shelf multivitamin. This has led to baby steps in working out which I’ll then turn into motivation to use that gym membership I’m paying for. So for me, the twenty bucks is totally worth it.In summary, I’m very pleased. I can eat foods that I couldn’t before, I’m sick less and it kick-started a healthy mindset and action. For the price, it’s really worth a try.

I wanted to share my experience with using this probiotic supplement. I’ve had bad eczema almost my entire life. It would sometimes be manageable for a season but would always flare up. Last year it got to a point where I had to go to the Emergency Room because I was so worried about how it was progressing. The doctors put me on a couple of steroid topical creams and also some immune system suppressants. It did help quite dramatically but I felt physically awful, and as soon as I stopped taking the medication it flared back up even WORSE than it was before.Now, this is important because a lot of prescribed medications are designed to suppress symptoms and not attack the root cause/illness. I’m not here to debate the effectiveness of Western Medicine, but I do know that I researched what the root issue for my eczema was and tried to treat it myself. It turns out that one of the most common issues related to Eczema is in your gut/diet. Long story short, I decided to cut a few things from my diet to see if I had any allergies and began taking this probiotic to help rebuild my gut. And after a month or so, my eczema (which I had all my life) BEGAN CLEARING UP.Note 1: I doubt this probiotic alone would have healed my eczema, though it wouldn’t have hurt. I found that my body was really not liking dairy. I always knew I was lactose intolerant (would get bloated/gassy), but it wasn’t when I cut out dairy completely that I found that I had lived in a state of sickness for a LONG time and just got used to it. I had more energy, and generally just felt stronger after about a month of no dairy. So, the probiotic definitely helped rebuild the damage allergens did to my gut/stomach, but my issues with eczema originated in my diet.Note 2: If you ARE like me and struggle with eczema, I suggest you do an elimination diet which consists of removing major allergens (corn, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, excess sugar like candy) for a period of time (3-4 weeks). I know, there’s not much you can eat (salads, rice and beans, chicken/beef). If one of these was contributing to your eczema, you should notice a significant difference. After a few weeks, begin introducing one ingredient back at a time. If you notice your eczema getting itchy again (for me it was within minutes/hours of eating it), or if you just feel worse, you might have identified an allergen. Avoid this, obviously. Trust me, I love pizza SO MUCH but it’s not worth the pain and general detriment to your overall health!Note 3: If you DO the elimination diet like mentioned in Note 2 to specifically help with your eczema, PREPARE FOR IT TO GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER. In the first couple of weeks, my eczema got worse. I began to flare up in other parts of my body that I’ve never had eczema on. STICK WITH IT. It’s the toxins leaving your body through your skin. I wanted to quit. I cried. It was painful and excruciatingly itchy. Ice packs help! But IT WILL GET BETTER. It has to get worse before it does… just remember this!Note 4: I’m not a doctor, nor am I trained in any field of health. Please take all of this with a very large lump of salt, knowing that it definitely helped me but might not help you.Finally: I recommend this product 100%. IT WORKS, it’s not a fake. It’s affordable, and helps in so many different ways (as you can see by reading any of these reviews). I will continue to take it to regulate my gut health.

I am entirely new to probiotics, but I have had stomach issues (irregularity, bloating, indigestion, gas, diarrhea, you name it) for probably 5 years now (29 years old, fit, male). I just figured this is how I was, but I’ve recently realized there is probably something I can do about it.I recently had a bad upset stomach so my wife bought me some cheap “digestive pills” from the grocery store and I was amazed at how well they worked. I two per day and had regular, solid movements, but I felt there was something out there that could work even better. Something I could take daily and purchase again and again, so as I do for everything else, I came to Amazon.I bought these based on the reviews alone, knowing nothing about what was in it or how it would work. I have taken this for one week now, and for every day since the very first day I started I have had the most violent diarrhea I have ever had in my life. The bathroom has been a scene from a horror film. I have worked from home every day because I need to be seconds away from a private restroom with a vent and air freshener, no joke. I have not had a single solid movement since day one, and it hasn’t gotten worse, but it certainly hasn’t gotten better. At first I thought it may be a good thing, cleaning me out or what have you, but that can’t be the case if it’s gone on for this long, right? I have researched if this is normal (sometimes it can be, but a week?), taken them on an empty stomach, etc. and nothing has changed. I’m going to stop taking them for a couple of days to see if it stops, then return them and try something else.All of the positive reviews are from people showing amazing results within the first couple days of use. If that truly is the case for them, I am happy for them. It is likely something in my own body causing these problems, but for whatever reason, these pills have made my stomach issues 10x worse than they were before taking anything at all.Even as I write this review at 9:45AM on an empty stomach (last pill taken yesterday morning on an empty stomach) my stomach is churning. I was awoken at 4AM today for an emergency trip to the bathroom, and again after I woke up at 8AM.My suggestion for the person thinking about buying this is… Well… Useless I guess. Based on the reviews, these pills seem to help certain people, and make symptoms exponentially worse for others. I have no “diagnosed” stomach problems, but for whatever reason, I am the latter.

Directions are to take two a day on an empty stomach, so I have been taking both before breakfast.Large chalky white pills to take, so you definitely need to practice taking it down and can only be swallowed one at a time.Other than that, as for the effectiveness, there are some other factors during my time that may have affected it. Firstly, I had a break. I started the bottle, had to travel out of state and then when I came back, continued. Secondly, the second time around, I heavily increased my intake of water, watched what I ate, and also added Yakult probiotics. With that being said, when I returned to it, the first week took a lot of trips to the bathroom for some hard bowel movements but it felt like it really was clearing up my gut. By the second week, that cleared up and I felt somewhat better than I had been feeling before. I’m not sure about the significant change due to this particular product but I feel that it did it’s job.

After taking this for only 3 days, I am already feeling and recognizing the good things this can do for my overall health and well being. I was beginning to suffer from constant diarrhea, a roughening and blotchy skin tone, sleeplessness, and overall listlessness. Life was getting to be a real chore and more dreary every day. For the last 3 days, I have taken one of these every morning and another every evening and am beginning to feel like a real human being again. The diarrhea is gone, I am sleeping better and feeling better all over.Starting tomorrow, I will cut my usage down to only one of these every morning and see if any thing changes.I have been doing research on probiotics and have learned some very important things that I believe should be taught at every grade schooler: First is that antibiotics, which are frequently given to people with infections, normally will kill many of the healthy proboitics that we were born with and may times, these just don’t come back well. I have also learned that all probiotic pills don’t have the same probiotics that we need and the differences can cause the restorations that we need to be sporadic and lesser or more effective for different people. If I don’t get a really positive continuation of the effectiveness that I feel I should be getting from this particular brand, I will next experiment with taking another brand along with this one to see if there is any improvement.Will try to keep this review updated with my results.Also: I strongly recommend that everyone who has a good search engine in their web browser, do a search on the word, “probiotics” and do a little research. This has proven to be VERY educatioal for me and my family!

Very Happy With ResultsI have been taking this product for 10 days now along with digestive enzymes. I take 2 Probiotics in the morning on an empty stomach and 2 digestive enzymes capsules before each meal and I have had amazing results in my digestive health. I had my gallbladder out about 10 years ago. I also have been on a proton pump inhibitor for the same amount of time for acid reflux. From the research I have done I have learned that I should have been taking digestive enzymes from day 1 of having my gallbladder removed. This is something doctors either don’t know or don’t take very seriously. You have a gallbladder for a reason and when it’s gone you need to take measures to make up for it. I would go from being constipated one day to loose BM’s the next. Always feeling full and bloated. I am very regular and very normal in my BM’s now. I have also stopped eating wheat. Since doing these things I have cut back on my acid reflux meds to a 1/2 a pill once in the morning. I’m trying to wean myself off of these because they are really not good for you to be on long term. My acid reflux is so much better and I hope to stop taking meds soon. The only reason I didn’t give this product 5*’s is that it has Mg Sterate in them which is the substance that causes the pills to not stick together while being processed. They need to switch to an all vegetable gel tablet.

I migrated to the US a year ago. Since I’ve been living here I started to experience bloating, excess gas, distension and discomfort almost on a daily basis (usually at bed time).On discussing with my brother who has been living in the states for over 13 years, he suggested the food I am ingesting may be upsetting the balance of my gut bacteria and causing these symptoms…I am originally from the Caribbean and our diet is made up of a lot less processed foods and different chemicals/pesticides in our veges, fruits and meat. I started to purchase ONLY organic and stayed away from canned food, but that did not seem to ease the problem either. I added over the counter gas tablets (3 top brands) to my daily regime and none of these helped in any way.Out of frustration I mentioned again to my brother. He sent me an Amazon link to the Nutrition Essentials Probiotic (which he also uses and believes in). I immediately purchased using next day delivery.I started to take the morning after I received the bottle and discontinued the other probiotics. I noticed a change in my bowel movements within 2 days of taking the product (DOSE: 2 tablets on an empty stomach with an 8oz glass of water). Must say it has made a HUGE difference in my regularity and the ‘quality’ 🙂 of my poops!Its been a month and I am mostly symptom free (unless I eat some crazy gassy foods like baked beans and broccoli), but even if I do experience more gas than usual with these foods, it is not accompanied by the severe bloating and discomfort like before.This probiotic is a KEEPER! Just wish it was available in my regular grocery, pharmacy or healthy food store!!

PROS: Let me be clear: this product WORKS. I’ve been taking it for about two weeks now (1 pill in the morning before breakfast) and at about day 4-6 I noticed regularity occurring in bowel movements and overall feeling good because I am no longer backed up. CONS: At about day 10-12 I did notice an increase in gas. CONCERNS: Who makes this supplement? Why don’t they have a website? From what I have found, it’s manufactured solely for a marketing company (Boost Marketing Group, LLC) and it seems like the only distributor is Amazon. I found a tiny LinkedIn profile listing themselves as a pharmaceutical company. I am a little concerned that there is no location to visit to view the breakdown of ingredients or to go with questions (If someone can reply with that information it would be appreciated) Also in looking at the ingredients it appears the major ingredient is not the probiotic blend but Fructooligosaccharide which is a prebiotic and functions a but differently in the gut. If you look up the information online, Wikipedia states under side effects: Fructooligosaccharide are also fermented by numerous bacterial species in the intestine, including Klebsiella, E. coli[12] and many Clostridium species, which can be pathogenic in the gut. (Pathogenic means “disease causing” so this is a bit alarming as well.) 20mg is found to be well tolerated. These have 500mg! I guess it would be interesting to see long term results. I can say that these move your bowels for sure but I am not 100% sure it’s all due to the Probiotic or how absolutely safe this is. If you want just a pure probiotic than you will need to purchase the refrierated kind.

i love NOW vitamins. i wont take any other brand. the prices are super affordable. and compared to other brands i used when trying to stick to a a vitamin regime, NOW brand has noticeable results. physical and mental. i absolutely love this brand.i started taking this on the 20th of June…so about 2 months. i was interested to see if it could help me stop drinking. to be honest with you, i started taking numerous vitamins around the same time…and just a few weeks ago was going through my bottle to see what i needed to reorder. i had completely forgotten what Tyrosine was and what I had purchased it for…but i knew i had taken 500mg three times a day. so i googled and remembered i had got it to see if it could help me stop drinking/stay sober/reduce urges and craving. whoa, has it ever. i stopped drinking weeks ago but it was when i went to figure out why i started taking Tyrosine and to decide if it was worth it to reorder that i realized….during this time i’ve been sober my thoughts of alcohol and subsequent cravings are minimal – borderline nonexistent. completely different experience this time getting sober with tyrosine. i can say in full confidence this makes a huge difference. honestly it’s been so easy to stay sober. and it’s a major struggle for me.researching vitamin, mineral and amino acid deficiency in alcoholics has greatly helped me formulate a vitamin regime. this is the first time i’ve gotten sober at the same time as starting a vitamin regime. the difference is night and day, both mentally and physically. i would highly recommend researching amino acids and neurotransmitters in alcoholics.

I’ve required a lot of dental surgeries lately and my doc always puts me on antibiotics such as amoxicillin or augmentin. They prevent infection but have wrecked havock with my stomach. They say it causes diarrhea but I have the opposite side effect. I started taking these probiotics on the advice of a friend. I have to say they have made a difference and my digestion seems to have returned to normal. The pills did not sour my stomach as some other brands have, so I was very happy about that. My only complaint is that the pills I received were uncoated and powdery. So they stuck to my tongue and throat a few times. I was able to get them down with a lot of liquid. If they made these coated, they would be perfect. But I still recommend them!

I just got the product today. I’m writing a review based on my first impressions. I’ll update it later once I start taking them. But it came in a more generic bottle, and nowhere does it say 900 billion cultures. But I read the ingredients and they are the same; so I’m going to trust I’m getting the same stuff.The only thing that threw me, and it was my fault. Is the 900 billion cultures advertisement gives you the impression that these are very strong pills. But it’s 900 billion cultures in the whole bottle. And you get 60 in each bottle. So you have to take two a day for 30 days. And each pill has 15 billion cultures. I can get other brands with 50 billion in one capsule. So I kind of was a little disappointed; because I thought these would be lot stronger.I am going to try them; because they claim that 62% gets to your gut. And since I read all the positive reviews, I’m willing to try them. But folks need to understand that each pill is only 15 billion cultures. So you are going to have to at least take two capsules to get 30 billion cultures. As I mentioned before… I have other brands that has 50 billion in just one capsule. So I’ll see how it goes and update later.UPDATE: After using these for a few weeks, I have noticed an improvement. They help keep my gut from acting up some, and releasing too much gas.As mentioned… Due to the extremely low potency per capsule…I’ve moved on to a stronger product.

I was diagnosed with IBS-C recently. I spent four months in and out of hospitals, had CT scans, MRIs, Colonoscopies (standard and virtual) and a laparoscopy surgery. Aside from having a ‘tortuous’ and ‘redundant’ colon, they could not find anything else so, I was diagnosed with IBS (surprise, surprise). I was told by several doctors that there was no cure for this sudden illness I had developed and was put on some pretty strong prescription meds that 1) Slowed down by brain and though process dramatically and 2) Made me very nauseous and made me constantly and unpredictably go to the bathroom. I felt miserable for too long and doctor’s continued to tell me to take the meds that were slowly withering me away and some fiber (they also do not believe in specific diets to address IBS issues). I did a LOT of reading and while I realize that not one treatment works the same for two IBS patients, here is what worked for me. Please keep in mind that it took two weeks for the supplements to start working and that along with these, I am on a very strict mix of SCD and Paleo diets.Every day I take the following supplements:-Nutrition Essentials Probiotics 1 pill / 2 x a day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon on an empty stomach-Peppermint Oil capsules 1 pill / 3 x a day on an empty stomach-Turmeric / pepper anti-inflammatory 1 pill / 3x a day-Suntheanine 1 pill / 1 x a day- 2 teaspoons of ORGANIC psyllium husks at night before bedtimeI still have an antispasmodic prescription for bad days but, it is very seldom that I take them compared to having to take them 4-5 times a day and 20mg -40mg at a time. This has also allowed me to have at least one regular bowel movement EVERY DAY compared to 1 painful and incomplete movement every three days. I wanted to give up the first few days because I was not seeing any major changes but I am so glad I stuck with the regime. I also supplement with SCD homemade yogurt and I am grain, gluten, sugar and dairy free. I realize it’s a lot of sacrifice to ask from a human being but I will gladly trade these foods for a pain free and decent quality of life.

I purchased on bottle and began faithfully taking them (beginning May 25) on an empty stomach (as directed) right before going to bed each night. After a week of no improvement (though the product says ” Promotes Daily Relief from Allergies, Gas, Bloating and Constipation”), I went to taking one pill first thing in the morning and one pill right before going to bed each night. However, I’ve been doing that now for a week or two and still no results.In my research trying find background information on the manufacturer, I found one of their websites where you can submit a form to request a second bottle free – as long as you submit a review. I did that, and received a second bottle June 3. Thinking that perhaps the first bottle was a dud, I’ve now been taking some pills from both bottles (still one pill in the morning and one at night on an empty stomach).And now I get hounded with emails from the company urging me to leave a review! Which I’ve been holding out on because so far I don’t really have proof that these pills provide any more benefit than a sugar pill. With their offer of a second bottle for free, the company says to only leave a 4 or 5 star review, which makes me wonder about all the raving reviews about this probiotic supplement here on Amazon which I read and which I trusted and which led me to make the purchase in the beginning.So, the jury is still out on this one. Perhaps after taking these for a month I will begin to see some change or perhaps not. I tend to be more of the analytical type, so taking a sugar pill and expecting miracles doesn’t work for me. I’m giving them three stars for now, because I’m grateful for the free second bottle but I just don’t have proof yet that these pills work. If after taking both bottles over the next couple months and there is still no proof that these pills help, I may update my review. Or, if things definitely improve for the better, I may update my review accordingly.I’d love to see an experienced scientist or two do some experiments on these pills and leave a review.
