Waste of $20. This paint worked well to cover worn areas on the stovetop grill covers to our gas stove. But our stove covers have rubber pads underneath and this paint says for best results you have to bake it at a high temperature. We didn’t want to rune the covers so we didn’t bake. The paint quickly rubbed off as we used the stovetop, so now after a few months we’re back to the original worn look. Disappointed.

My only concern is what I didn’t know until I finished usting this paint.At the end of the instructions on the can there is a warning:Warning: Cancer and reproductive harm.This is a product that is supposed to be for BBQ grills and such!Imagine eating something that has come in contact with a paint that may induce cancer!Rutland should be banned from Amazon and stores everywhere in America.

Installed new stainless steel exhaust system. Welded hangers and hung using 3″ muffler clamps. Painted all welds and after cleaning pipe and clamps sprayed 3 light coats. Very good stuff.

Will adhere to Stainless Steel without primer, good for converting uncoated stainless steel grill to black. Tried Rutland Products 80 Hi-Temp Spray Paint, Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Black, 12 and it worked great. No primer required for this one. I let the grill sit in the rain and dry in the sun and it didn’t flake. Would recommend Rutland for applying to stainless steel.Photos in no particular order.

This product says it can be used on stoves. I sanded and painted my cook top and boiler cover. The boiled cover almost never gets handled so it’s still in great shape. But the stovetop scratches with a finger nail. I’m constantly having to touch up the paint it’s terrible. I bought a clear coat metal enamel and I’m hoping it will help.

We used this to repair a rusted spot on a charcoal grill. We were very skeptical but it turned out really well. as a matter of fact if you didn’t know the spot was there you wouldn’t know it had been spray-painted. I will say we used sandpaper to scrub off the rust before we painted it and the paint has adheard very well we’ve used the grill and it’s just like brand new again.

I bought a standing fire and the original paint peeled the first time that I used it. I tried another brand of paint and it peeled also. I ordered this one hoping for better results, I followed the directions, it still peeled. I don’t know what to do next since all of the paint in the firebox part peels.

Paint chipped after 2nd fire. Easy to apply and looks amazing with the first couple coats. Might try to touch up the spots that chipped and peeled. I would most likely try to do a 4-6 coat finish in the areas that chipped so fast. I also did primer to help adhere to some old cast iron, that has held up well.

Our wood stove needed to be spruced up a bit. This made it look like now. However, be sure to do this on a day that the windows can be open. We even sat a fan facing out to draw out the smell. There is a strong chemical smell. We have never used one that didn’t have this problem. So, just be aware and ready to deal with it.

I used Rutland to refinish an offset grill. I took much care to prep the metal and clean it well. I took my time and followed the instructions. The temperature and humidity were favorable. I let it dry for some time and it was perfect prior to the first coat. After painting as directed, I heat cured it as prescribed.After all that…within 90 days rust started showing through the paint on the firebox and main grill lid. Using several different IR thermometers I verified that the temps on the firebox (hottest part) never exceeded 600 degrees F. I’d pay $3 per can. Not $14. Moving on…
