My father had an old leather couch and love seat he gave to us as he was moving and didn’t want it any more. He had spent thousands on it new about 10 years ago. Unfortunately he had not ever really taken good care of it. It was dried out, dirty and dusty. I could tell that the leather was still strong and just needed a deep cleaning and some protection.We bought Mr Leather to clean up and restore the couch. It worked fantastically well. With a minimum of fuss, we wiped it on and watched the leather be restored before our eyes. The leather looks as good as new. We were very happy how the couch looked after the cleaning as it made the whole room look like we had just gone out and bought some new furniture.The only downside was the smell. It does take a few days to dissipate. Now, however, it just has that wonderful leather smell that we love.Overall – a great product. I highly recommend it.

This product worked very well. First I cleaned a light blue leather purse using European Leather Restorer Cleaner & Conditioner sold here on Amazon. That product worked amazingly. I decided I needed something to make it shine so I bought this. You won’t believe how easy it is to use. Being timid and wanting to make sure it was okay, I sprayed a cloth first and rubbed the bottom in case the purse darkened. It didn’t. Then I went whole hog and sprayed a section at a time and wiped it down per instructions. I just love this stuff! When I was done, the leather smell was back albeit not strong and I am a happy person. I should tell you that I used an Endust dusting cloth sold in little boxes that are relatively cheap. They leave no lint and don’t scratch. Buy this and you’ll love it too!!!

In my opinion, using Lexol’s cleaner and then following with Lexol’s preservative is probably best for truly cleaning, conditioning, and preserving real leather, but who has that kind of time? Or that kind of leather? Most leather today– whether you realize it or not– is actually painted and more synthetic than cow hide. An exception to that rule would be gun leather (like belts and holsters) or horse tack & saddles. Ask your local cobbler or leather repair shop if you have any doubts about this. It’s simply become cheaper for shoe companies, furniture makers, and leather jacket companies to use painted leather than to truly dye the leather with pigments. Also, even luxury car makers have now opted for synthetic faux-leather seating surfaces (they all give this fancier names than “vinyl”). Sure, they keep real leather around because people *think* they like luxury leather (“Corintian leather!”) but synthetics are more UV resistant, durable, and easier to clean and keep clean.Meguiar’s is good for simply wiping down a leather surface, eliminating light dust or dirt, and leaving a nice shine, but not so great for removing actual grime or stains. I settled for Mr. Leather because it seems to be a quick, no-nonsense way to clean and move on. I’m not in to detailing my car like I was when I was 16 or 17. I’ve got three bottles of this stuff stashed around (gave one to my girlfriend for her leather couches). In my opinion, it’s the best happy medium for cleaner/preservative. Also, I actually have a mixture of leather (my couches) and simulated leather (car seats). Mr. Leather seems to do the best at cleaning both and making them look nice.One last thing: What really sold me on this product, caused me to order two more bottles, and to write this review, is that I couldn’t remove some dog slobber stains from the leather/vinyl on the rear doors of my car until I used this. A few sprays on a rag, some elbow grease, and now the interior of my car doors looks as-new!

I bought this brand of leather cleaner about 25 years ago for my jacket. I loved how it smelled. I used sparely it for many years then I began using it on all the leather in my new Cadillac I ran out a few months ago I looked around and found this spray bottle. I spray the leather in my car, then wipe down then many days when I’m bored, I’ll work for Uber Black,. I always get great comment about the smell.This is great stuff.

I just got it today and am so far pleased! Last week we bought an Ashley DuraBlend couch in chocolate. I’ve read mixed reviews on the material but am hopeful that with regular cleaning/conditioning it’ll last. It wasn’t expensive (real leather just isn’t an option right now with dogs and kids) so we don’t expect it to last forever but want to do what we can to care for it while we have it. Anyway, I just grabbed a rag and sprayed then wiped. Took all of 3-5 minutes to do the entire sectional.It isn’t a beautiful fine mist, more like a bunch of larger blobs flying out but that doesn’t really matter… You’re just going to wipe it away. The smell is pleasing and best of all, the material feels the same as it did last week when the couch came in.. Not oily or greasy but with a nice new shine! There were a few spots of dirt and banana smears (yay toddlers!) But they easily wiped away with this. Look forward to using it more and hope it will be a great long term product!
