This was recommended by my doctor to keep on hand for treatment of open wounds as well as skin irritation. It’s gentle and safe enough to apply to open sores but treats a wide spectrum of bacteria. I had a skin infection which was scheduled for IV antibiotics, but after a week of treatment with this stuff at my doctor’s office, the infection had cleared up. Coincidence possibly, but I was sure happy not to have to go to that extreme treatment. The tube I got has an expiration date about 18 months out, so plenty of time to get full benefit before it expires.

I have been using this product for the last two years. I have learned that a pea-sized dollop smoothed upon the face will tighten the wrinkles. It’s there for medical needs when they arise but, is a more versatile product than one can imagine. Helps to leave a thin protective film to ward off germs and doesn’t sting upon application.

I used this gel on a surgical scar where I had chronic pain. Not only did the gel effectively relieve the pain for several days — I was shocked to see that the pain appears to be permanently reduced. The gel absorbs well and is not sticky. Happy with this purchase.

This helped my csection scar so much! About two weeks after surgery and having my staples removed, my incision started to open at the wound only. I applied this for two weeks and it looks like it isn’t even there! Will buy more for other wounds and to have in case of emergency.

I tried to use this on a deep 3″ long x 1.5″ wide abrasion. I applied a thick coating on the wound and covered with non-sticking bandages. Once applied it became even more runny. It dried up/absorbed too quickly causing the non-stick badges to adhere to the wound. Painful to remove and actually caused bleeding and pulled some of the new skin off. It’s important to keep the wound bed moist so I switched to Bacitracin Triple Antibiotic and occasionally Neosporin, cleaning/changing the dressing daily with Significantly better results. It’s been 2 weeks and the wound is healing nicely.

If this product was sold at local pharmacies there would be no need for any other product including Neosporin. I had a nasty small wound on my leg caused with my weed wacker while I was working in the garden that got infected and refused to heal. I used Neosporin, Medicated Band aids, Mercurochrome, alcohol, etc. and nothing worked. I called my brother and ask him if he knew of something better and effective and he recommend me this product. I ordered it from Amazon and as soon as it arrived I started using it and then the wound healed magically in a couple of days. Yes, I know want you are thinking but I am not diabetic. The product is a little pricy but if I think about all the money I spent on the other useless products, it is not expensive and it does cure.

Can’t speak to effectiveness, as it burned so bad when I applied to my wound that I had to wash it off. Tried several times hoping for different results, maybe something else had been the source of my discomfort, but to no avail. FWIW, it didn’t burn immediately. Felt fine til maybe 30-60 seconds after application.

This is an excellent product! It has a nice smell and consistency. It is not oily and is pleasant on the skin. It is also very effective at helping rid your skin of minor infections (bacterial, fungal etc.). It is gentle enough to put on sensitive areas but strong enough to be effective. I wish the container were a bit larger. I recommend buying two at a time – it’s that good.

This stuff is incredible!! I never write reviews but this stuff saved me many times on severe burns, cysts,cellulitus staph infection,cold sore, and even a hemorrhoid. I was very sick from an allergic reaction to an antibiotic (Bactrim) and my body just went haywire and several of these are from a six month period. Luckily all is better now. It does need to be an open wound to draw it out and heal but I swear it’s like magic.It was hard to find back in 2012 and I’m so glad to see others finding out how amazing it is. I will always have it on hand. It’s not cheap but it also doesn’t take much. Just buy it and see what you think you wont regret it.

I used the $800 version of this stuff, starts with an S ends with an L.. While this does sting just a little bit, that goes away after about 40 minutes. But this works way better than the expensive stuff at removing slough from venous ulcers.

I had a pea sized wound covered in “slough” midline tummy tuck incision. It wasn’t healing and my plastic surgeon didn’t want to debride it. I used this product along with the cleaner and I am happy to say that my wound finally healed. The gel chemically debrided the slough and allowed the wound to heal! Such an amazing product!

Be aware that this gel is quite thin making it more runny and watery than I had anticipated. I guess I imagined it having more of the consistency of Neosporin or tooth paste, but it is far from that. We use Hydrofera Blue as our primary dressing which normally must be sprayed with saline to activate and soften it & then wrung out to dry before application. I found this Anasept “gel” is so thin and runny that I can use it to activate and moisten the Hydrofera Blue rather than using saline solution. This method seems to work better for us than attempting to apply this runny slime to the wound bed directly. When I use this tube of the gel up, I will be switching to the spray bottle next time. If the gel had been thicker like I had imagined it would, I probably would have preferred it in the gel form. But with how runny and watery this gel feels, I may as well just use the spray.

I like that after spreading it on slough in the depth of a wound overnight, It appears to absorb some of the slough making it easy to remove with a cotton swab or gauze. What I dislike is the container, which makes it difficult to squeeze out a small amount. I have not been able to remove the top to overcome the problem of a big blog coming out at once.

Used this in conjunction with Anacept wound cleanser and it helped heal a wound quickly. I think it’s a type of hydrogel and it doesn’t take much when applying. I’d recommend for wounds with any kind of depth to them to maintain a moist wound environment for quicker healing. Madenin the USA! Latex free

I had an open wound which would not heal after my last ankle surgery. My doctor gave me a sample of this gel and it worked extremely well. I won’t be without a tube of this, just in case I ever need it again, and have recommended it to many friends and family members. Not sure what everyone else got but my experience as that this product is only slightly better than using nothing at all on a cut.I get cuts on my hands all the time so I put this on one and store brand antibiotic cream on another cut (on the same hand)After 2 days this product showed little signs of healing, whereas the store cream had almost completely healed.My two cents is save your money and buy basic antibiotic cream or lotion.
