Big bottle. Good to have a smaller container to put in. I am from the south where peanut oil is available and cheap. When I moved up north it is in the specialty section in small containers.

This has been my go-to fryer oil since I’ve found it. It’s inexpensive, seems to ship well (I won’t be surprised if it does leak at least sometimes in transit based on the cap being the sole barrier between the oil and the box, no seals or anything, but I have yet to experience a leak and I’ve received about 5 so far without issue). It performs well at typical frying temperatures and a little above. I did accidentally let it get above 450f at one point, and it was *starting* to smoke, but nothing egregious. The little carrying handle is small, but makes it easy to carry, and I’ve yet to feel like it’d be insufficient for the job.This is a pretty no-frills peanut oil that gets the job done. Are the better oils out there? Oh, I’m sure.. but at the price this stuff goes for and the quality you’re getting, you’re not going to regularly find a better quality to cost ratio.

If you are a peanut oil user like me, you know that not only is it expensive, but it often cannot be found in a small quantity. And by that, I mean anything less that a couple of gallons. I guess people only use peanut oil for frying turkeys. My grocery store quit carrying it in small containers, so I kept looking. I found this Amazon brand and was happy to see that it was a decent price. The downside is that it still is much more than the 32 ounces I prefer to buy. But it is still much smaller than the huge containers at the grocery store, which I can hardly even pick up, so I ordered it. I kept the last small empty peanut oil bottle that I had and just refill it as needed from this larger bottle since the large container won’t fit on my pantry shelf. It’s not ideal, but it works, and I will continue buying it this way until Amazon, or someone else, sells it in smaller quantities.

STOP USING SEED OILS! Peanut oil is a MUCH healthier alternative to using seed oils and this oil fries up nice and crispy fries. It doesn’t leave a funny taste in your mouth, it’s a savory taste and my fries were wonderful! I don’t think I’ll buy fast food fries anymore. I used it in my countertop deep fryer.

What’s to say about peanut oil? A few things, actually.Recently I started frying chicken. I was purchasing peanut oil from my local grocer, a chain yes, but the best I’ve seen. (I worked in grocery stores when I was a kid, and I’m critical with grocery stores.) Regardless, their peanut oil was expensive. I decided to check Amazon, and found the Amazon product to be roughly half the cost per unit volume compared against my local grocer. I tried the Amazon product and it has been fine! It acts like the brand I’ve known: cooks my chicken properly; has the high smoke point I need; doesn’t seem to impart a flavor to my food; and most importantly doesn’t break my budget.I would recommend this product for anyone who needs peanut oil and has no health issues with peanut oil.

In the past few years I’ve ordered quite a few of this peanut oil from Amazon. It’s an excellent product. For the best Fries or Chicken.. go back to using the old recipe(s). Use TALLOW (which you can buy here on Amazon) and 7 to 10% Peanut oil. This is the original oil mixture that made American Fries so delicious back in the day and deep fried chicken.Peanut oil has a high smoking point of 410 F and so does Tallow. Both last and last and last via repeated frying foods. Use a Coffee Filter to filter your WARM (not hot) oil and add just a little tallow or oil the next time you fry and you’ll never have to throw oil out.Note: I wrote this review many months ago. However, now that the price has risen to over $25 and I can find exactly the same product here in San Diego for $14.00 (and no food tax). You can understand why I’m hesitant to purchase this fine product again. $25 is just too expensive!

I love my deep fryer and I’ve found most grocery store oils don’t have a clean taste and usually smell awful after only a couple uses and affect the taste of fried foods. This handles high heat and lasts longer. My family likes funnel cakes or fried pies as a treat and this oil is the only way to go.

I’ve been frying food for nearly 50 years and have used more expensive peanut oil with excellent results. With the Amazon Fresh Peanut oil, which I purchased several times, I love the quantity for the price, but I am not getting those results in the food’s flavor, feel, and appearance. I thought I was off my game. I retried a more expensive brand and once again got better results. Sadly, I’ll pay more to get what I know works. I need to fry less anyway
