5.0 de 5 estrellas Full of Energy!
I’ve been using Raw Organic Schisandra Berry Powder for years; I’m an aging athlete and they really have a kick! My regular supplier stopped carrying them and these were the only ones I could find that weren’t in extract form (which destroys the natural balance). I thought what I used before was good, but these are one and a half, to two times better! Boy am I glad my supplier ran out! What the other reviewer said about their freshness is true, and for those who aren’t used to them, the pungent aromatic aroma is breathtaking, but if you’re looking for sweetness, forget it, these are tart. You can always add sweetening but I don’t, I eat them purely for their nutritional value, which is significant! These have the seeds in them which (like all nuts and seeds) should be pre-sprouted to remove the Enzyme Blockers; the way I do this is, add water, run them through a blender, then let them sit in a container in your oven with the light on (for warmth) for about 20hrs. As with all raw foods they also have absorption inhibitors that can be gotten rid of by warming them to about 110 degrees (which maintains their rawness). These tips will allow you to get maxim nutritional absorption from all your raw-food products. Enjoy!Update: Something new I’m trying is fermenting with a 34 strain probiotic. As it turns out, the seeds not only have enzyme blockers but lectins and other anti-nutrients as well, which fermenting this way is supposed to minimize. I’m fermenting all my foods now as many of them also contain lectins and other anti-nutrients.The way you do this is to add the probiotics after you’ve warmed the food in the blender, then, put your container in the oven again for another 20hrs, then the refrigerator. What you have then is an effervescent fruit medley (assuming you’re mixing in other fruits), that’s indescribably delicious.

4.0 de 5 estrellas Weirdly good I think?
I don’t know how to rate the flavor or quality of these, but I have actually recently purchased a schisandra berry bush and wanted to know what I was in for.You should know my palate is not the standard north american palate. I chug down seabuckthorn juice without flinching, grow scurvy grass, eat raw Jerusalem artichokes like apples, eat dandelion salads, and drink kefir plain. This is the strangest taste yet! But it grows on you, it really does. And before you know it, you are nibbling on a handful. There are so many flavors going on, very interesting!! My five year old was helping me critique the flavors. My three year old tried one, gave a huge shudder and spit it out….but laster that evening he came over and ate three at once without issue. My kids have been raised with a wide range of flavors so pretty much most kids would not find this enjoyable.I’m still figuring out the flavors but definitely strong notes of Wintergreen. The tea tastes like steeped aromatic cedar perhaps. It has a cooling sensation after you eat it like a breath mint.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Sour/bitter taste but what tastes good and is also good for you
Well first time having the berries. So didn’t know what to expect. Upon chewing one it’s alittle sour, bitter. I made a tea out of it next. Still sour and bitter but I added some honey to the pot as it was boiling and it helped a lot. Can’t wait to see if this helps out like it says it will.

These are disgusting. I ate one and immediately spit it out and gave the rest to my chickens, who didn’t like them. I was thinking of planting this plant in my garden but I have changed my mind after tasting the berries.

5.0 de 5 estrellas Best tea product I’ve ever used
Shisandra was introduced by a Holistic Acupressure and Acupuncture doctor. He is Korean and this berry is only comes from trees in South Korea. The benefits are amazing but more so, the taste has the kind of flavors that I like. It’s the only product that produces 5 different elements of taste…read the description yourself. I’m going on almost one year using this product and this one in particular with the amount you get for the buck is well worth it. Highly recommended you give it a try. Just make sure you follow the directions for how much to use or else it will be extremely bitter and you want to enjoy it for what it’s worth. ENJOY 😊

5.0 de 5 estrellas Powerful berries
These are the real deal. Freshly dried, easy to rehydrate. I add a teaspoon of the berries to a quart of water and sip throughout the day. They are bitter and potent. I have to add a bit of stevia to cut the bite. It took a while to ship once I ordered them, but they came from China and boats are very slow to unload during the Pandemic.

Just by itself it tastes very soapy. But I tried soaking the berries in cold water for a day (more if you want it more sour) and it was really good! I wasn’t sure if I would like it but I was very impressed. I love the 5 flavors it has and I’m big on sour.

It is a bit expensive but I liked a quality. I had it one day and I already feel the energy in my body. I researched this since I wanted to clear my lung from being sick. Make sure you will eat Seed because it has 80% of medicinal ingredients in seed. It tasted very strong and bitter though.

These are the freshest schisandra berries I have had in years. They were so fresh that they were still a tad chewy, not dry and flaky like other brands. I mashed the berries and made a tea out of these and had energy for hours. These are a tad expensive – but worth every penny.

1.0 de 5 estrellas Entire bag smells like chemicals
Whatever they treated this with, they used too much. Smells strong like pesticides. This was noted in another review too which I wish I read before purchasing. It does seem fresh through as the berries are somewhat moist. But perhaps that’s because they’re soaked in chemicals. Fn nasty …🤮

1.0 de 5 estrellas Bad product! Don’t buy.
As I open the package, it smelled like pesticides. It is not dry at all and can be delivered without refrigeration. Very suspicious of having preservatives in the package. I tried to wash schisandra berries with fresh water and ended up seeing murky water even after a few trials of rinsing. I tried to return but realized not qualified for refund. Do not buy!

1.0 de 5 estrellas Not right. Chewy, not dried
These HAVE to have additives that are not listed. They just have to. They’re still chewy, not dried all the way but soft, but somehow they do not need to be refrigerated? It seems like there has to be glycerin or something keeping them squishy.Very weird. Never seen schizandra like this and do not trust it.Also it doesn’t say ANYTHING about being organic, I do not know why some reviews have stated that.

1.0 de 5 estrellas Preserved, NOT DRIED 🙁
These are “dried” the way dried fruits appear: still soft, clearly with some preservative. But the berries are physically soft, not petrified-dried like they are in the following product:B081GGTRY4(search on Amazon for this ABIN; superior product IMO!)And you can’t return this one :(Disappointed and won’t be ordering this product again.

1.0 de 5 estrellas Tastes like Chemicals
I really wanted to like these, some of the reviews are glowing! I’m not a stranger to bitter tasting foods, so I was looking forward to trying these. It started with the smell when I opened the bag. Strong smell of solvents/chemicals – I could just get a hint of the berries underneath. Upon tasting (I couldn’t help myself) the taste was so ‘chemically’ i had to spit them out and wash out my mouth several times. I’m very disappointed. I was offered a replacement when returning, but can’t bring myself to try again.

4.0 de 5 estrellas these are pretty good
I grow my own schizandra berries but some years we don’t get enough so i ordered these. They don’t have as strong a flavor as ours (by like half) and are not as dry. Some had a whitish look about them, almost like mold but i don’t think it is. They work well though, and i’m not unhappy. I enjoy a berry in my herbal tea in the morning.

A Korean friend gave me some Schisandra teabags as a gift, telling me that the tea had many health benefits. The taste is unusual, but not unpleasant. I do feel a mild energy boost from drinking it.By time I used up the teabags I had developed a taste for it and this looked like the best choice on Amazon. Please note the bag is 114 grams, net; serving size per the Nutrition Facts” is 100 grams, clearly wrong. I use about a tablespoon in a mug of boiling water. The longer it steeps the stronger the taste.

5.0 de 5 estrellas I’m obsessed
EDIT: I keep seeing pictures and reviews complaining about the white crust on these berries being “mold”. I would like everyone to know that these are the NATURAL sugars from the berries! This happens when you buy dried hawthorn berries as well. Please don’t throw them out mistakenly as you’re throwing out perfectly good adaptogens!! :)I’ve eaten a handful of these straight out of the bag, made a normal tea with these (boiled hot water and poured it over them, waiting 10 mins), and also made a decoction (soaked overnight to remove tannins, strained, then simmered in a pot for 20 minutes and strained again.) I love the complex taste of these berries and how they make me feel (slightly energetic and “clean”).

3.0 de 5 estrellas Interesting flavor, but great health benefits.
I am new to schisandra berries. I popped a small amount of these berries into my mouth and WHOA, these little berries pack a powerful flavor profile. Floral, bitter, sour, and spicy. My bf enjoyed the flavor experience. I also tried it as a tea and I prefer this method much better. However, I would recommend simmering the berries in the water for at least 5-10 minutes to extract more of the essence. Perhaps combine it with oat straw or astragalus to calm the flavor profile. Simply steeping the whole berries in hot water did not render much flavor – and by assumption not much of the essence. Overall satisfied and will likely keep schisandra berries on my natural therapeutic list.
